The technician was very polite and said he had 27 years of experience. My earlier post was not fair or accurate. Another technician came over to follow up on my perceived error message and clarified that the thermostat message was just informational. My problem may have been my misunderstanding of the newer thermostat messages and alerts about auxiliary heat that my previous thermostat did not track in any visible way.
Also, recheck of the monitoring system e-mail messages have been delivered each month since installation of the unit.
Overall, this is a great company, and I appreciate their efforts

Always have a good experience with Minnick's. They give you plenty of notice as to when their tech will arrive and send you a photo of the tech so you can know everything is legitimate. The technicians are very considerate of your property, are very knowledgeable, and are a pleasure to deal with. I have had installation and routine maintenance done as well as emergency repairs and Minnick's techs have excelled in all types of services. I recommend them to anyone in their service area needing HVAC service.

I called on Sunday and was able to get on their schedule for Monday. The furnace was not blowing any heat. I ended up needed a new igniter and they had one on the truck and replaced my faulty one. The technician was friendly and explained what I needed.

Minnicks is the best. I’ve used them since 2018 for a total HV/Ac replacement. The techs are very knowledgeable and professional. They are wonderful at explaining the cause, effect and remedy clearly to the client. Steven was our recent tech that responded to an issue at my moms condo. He has worked at my home as well. He answered all my questions and got my moms unit running properly. I highly recommend this company .

Minnicks, you can't go wrong . Had a new HV/AC system installed in 2018. Couldn't have asked for a better company to deal with and an outstanding team of technicians. Theses techs were extremely thorough and worked in harmony to get the job done in a timely manner . Made sure I was walked through the operations of the new system before they left. Never felt rushed . Recently had an issue at my mothers condo where water was involved. Minnicks was quick to respond and had a tech out the next morning. I used Minnicks loyally for years since they installed HVAC equipment associated with an air quality study I participated in. I was always shocked at the high prices they charged, but believed I was getting good customer service and above standard card for my units. This year, they came out and told me I needed $2,400 worth of work on my two AC units. I paid for the work and was then told they are still in bad shape, and the rep tried to sell me 4K more in service to the units - I could have purchased two new units at that point. I then (don't ask why) asked them to come and service my AC

We had a failure of the blower fan on our furnace during a cold snap (of course!). Minnicks visited the day after we called and exactly on time. The problem was diagnosed quickly. It was explained to us that the part had to be ordered (we understand this) the part came in within 2 days and the technician made the repair perfectly at the time they said they would.
I will definitely contact Minnicks again with a HVAC repair. In my opinion they are a company that aims for high performance.

I have been calling and speaking to someone for over a week in regards to my bill ( that has already been paid )from a recent service. What I was billed for and what I was told it would be appear to be two different things but I am passed off and told a manager will call me but that hasn't happened. My service tech was great but the customer service so far is less than to be desired. I have spent a lot of money with this company and as a local business owner would never treat my customers this way. Maybe this review will prompt someone to actually reach out.

The experience with Greg from Minnick’s was great! As a former home performance professional, I had a lot of questions about my system’s performance as well as questions about a long term strategy to full electrify my 1960s era home. Greg answered all of my questions and communicated clearly and thoughtfully. We had duct work installed in our basement to increase circulation. Zack and Charlie were great. They were very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I commented on how young they were with so much experience. You will not be disappointed. They were very thorough and came prepared. They wore shoe covers as not to track dirt in my home. They added a vent on my wall, looked as though it had always been there. They were able to custom fit the duct work above our heating unit and around other existing duct work. Minnick's refused to honor my parts warranty with Carrier. My motor fan broke on my heat pump and I got Minnick's name from the Carrier website. When I mentioned my warranty with Carrier, the technician told me to work it out with Carrier. Carrier says they don't deal with end customers and the dealer should have handled it. I called Minnick's "customer service" several times and never got a call back. This cost me several hundred dollars!

Was using them to take advantage of a Pepco maintenance rebate. Instead I was told my four year old unit was only running at 50% efficiency and proceeded to upsell a variety of other products and services...none of which actually addressed the issue. When I pressed for more details about my apparently failing unit, I was put off and never received a response. A second call to a different contractor revealed my unit was running perfectly.
