The Abbey center is the best inpatient treatment center in Iowa all the staff is amazing I had no problem with any of them and yes you can smoke while your there it’s a beautiful place. The Abbey saved my life if I hadn’t went there I would not be here today, I thank god every day for sending me to the abbey. The director Karen is the most kind, patience and sweetest person you will ever meet. I just received a check up call from the abbey 2 day’s ago, I highly recommend the Abbey center.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎊

3 1/2 yrs sober and I never would have the life I have today had it not been for the Abbey and it's staff. Simple as that!
Take it from me, there is something spiritual about that place and thank God for Joe seeing that it was a place to re start lives and give back. Hope you can find the hidden you inside yourself and meet the person you were always meant to be...I did.

When I walked into the Abbey at the age of 44 an alcoholic I was granted with the gift of desperation to stop drinking and living the life I was. I was finally in a place surrounded by people that not only understood me but also my terrible disease. I was surrounded by so many compassionate people that genuinely cared and wanted to see me beat my addiction and not only live a happy joyous and free life but become the person i was meant to be. I was educated and given the tools I needed in order to succeed. By the grace of GOD, THE ABBEY AND THE AA PROGRAM AND WAY OF LIFE I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT

They pour their souls into this program and offer their love, support and encouragement to ALL! The Abbey saved me and I will forever be grateful to Joe, Karen and the entire staff for everything they do. This is hands down, the very best recovery program you will ever find.

This place is AMAZING! You won't find better care anywhere else in this area. When I came to the Abbey, I was broken, lost and hopeless. They care for me so well. They figured out my specific needs, came along side of me and helped me find my way again. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is suffering. It is worth it!

I feel so so lucky to have been able to go to The Abbey when I needed treatment. Compassionate and experienced staff, a beautiful building full of history, and a program that has helped so many people and continues to help even after we've left residential treatment - I would have gone across the United States to get there but here it is right in Iowa. I highly recommend for yourself or your loved ones.

The Abbey changed my life. The staff members are all amazing, wonderful people who truly care about you as a person, your family and your recovery. The programming is informative and taught by highly qualified addiction and mental health professionals. The building and grounds are gorgeous and have such a healing energy all on their own. And don't even get me started on the food!!! :) The meals are DELICIOUS, healthy and abundant. I would recommend this place without hesitation to anyone who needs them.

The abbey is a historical site that a lot of ppl r interested in... It is now an addiction treatment center... A treatment center that should be showing love to everyone that goes onto its property... I am helping people all over the world for there love around the country projects to show love and support durring this world wide pandemic... this… project can help ppl in everyday life not feel that they r needing to have an addiction to drugs, alcohol or other addictions... I was simply taking pictures of The Abbey sign and not anything else... A man came out and told me I am going against
