Jackie Richards
Jackie is a devoted Physical Therapist and Yoga Instructor. She has a unique skill set, which integrates Yoga, Pilates, Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, Dry Needling, Manual Therapy, Biomechanical Evaluation and Home Exercise Programs to create more symmetrical movement patterns for her patients. Because she is an out-of-network practitioner, not dictated by insurance companies, you can expect 100% of her attention.

You can also get a private class with her or schedule a small group class with friends, family, or colleagues.

Jackie graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in 2011. She started the path to physical therapy at Appalachian State University where she earned her major in Athletic Training and minor in Exercise Science.

After graduation from her undergraduate studies she moved to Washington, DC to become a personal trainer for a health and conditioning club where she found an interest for living and promoting a holistic and well-balanced lifestyle.As a physical therapist, Dr. Richards has a passion for biomechanical analysis, especially relating to running, yoga, and various recreational activities.
Dr. Richards has a strong manual therapy background and a keen understanding of body mechanics. This helps her to see and treat the body's movements at a joint and myofascial level. Some of her main exercise prescriptions come from her Yoga and Pilates training as well as Postural Restoration Institute, which focuses on the diaphragm's role for our bodies movements.

Dr. Richards will discuss your history and work with you to determine which exercises/stretches are best fit for you. From there she will review and ensure that you have good compliance to what she has prescribed. She is diligent to work with your personal needs and is proficient at creating individualized care even through a virtual atmosphere.

Through learning asanas (poses), pranayamas (breathing techniques), and meditation you will adapt a heightened sense of self and well being.
