Hiring Moon and her company "Events by Momo" to coordinate my son's wedding was the best decision I ever made!
Even though we did not hire her as a full wedding planner (in hindsight we really should have!), Moon went over and above her role as Day Of Coordinator. She was responsive, professional and extremely helpful.
She was always available to answer questions and to provide suggestions.
Moon stepped in when we had issues at the reception to "rescue" a situation created by one of our vendors...she saved the day!
I would recommend hiring Events by Momo for any occasion

I've worked with Events by Momo for several events and enjoyed each experience! The biggest one was my wedding (175 people) that we initially hired Moon for catering, but fell in love with her so much we brought her on for event coordinating and day of coordination. I don't know what we would've done without her! She's incredibly detail oriented, a creative problem solver, and a joy to work with. She loves finding new ways to be creative, cost effective, and go above and beyond expectations. I'd highly recommend her for any event services you might need!

We choose Events by Momo after doing some research and final tasting with Moon. My husband and I were so impressed with their tasting that we cancelled the rest of our tastings with other vendors! Their menu was catered to us, and definitely unique! We choose to do 3 apps, 2 entrees, 1 vegetarian option, and also dessert. I will say that the food presented at the time of our tasting did NOT match the food that was served at our wedding on August 29, 2015 - that was a bit disappointing, but it wasn't that big of a deal for me. Here's my review:

After planning my wedding for 11 months and doing a lot of DIY stuff, I wasn't sure if it would be executed correctly without me there on the day of. Moon was my caterer so she suggested she take on the last leg of it all. SHE WAS FANTASTIC. Her food was exceptional--she mixed American flavors with South Asian ones for our fusion wedding so we had excellent prime rib and potatoes as well as samosas and butter chicken. People are still telling me how good the food was. She also made sure everything looked perfect and was executed perfectly. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I were given the recommendation to cater our wedding with Events by Momo through a friend. We did our homework with other caterers, but decided that Momo was the best bet. The pricing was very reasonable and the attention was unparalleled. Moon was so helpful with everything, from the delicious food options to the day-of coordination, and made sure every detail was taken care of. We had the exact food we wanted, the cake we wanted, the decorations, floral, hair, makeup, everything was perfect. Moon made the whole day so easy. And everyone was blown away by the incredible food

Let me start with I am not related to Moon or Claire, nor am I in a relationship with either. I say that because I sound like one if their parents! My experience with Momo Events was top notch!
They were responsive, accommodating and exceeded every expectation. The food was wonderful, the service professional and execution flawless.
I can not recommend them as anything but A++!

My fiancé and I attended MomoPOP, an event hosted by Events by Momo at the Bisong Art Gallery. Everything was phenomenal. The food and wine were superb, the ambience was beautiful and the attention to detail on service/timing was flawless. MomoPOP is a wonderful experience that is unlike anything else in Houston, emphasizing "shared dining." Guests get to enjoy a wonderful dining experience while also meeting new people. Moon is so sweet and put on such a wonderful event - we can't wait to enjoy more events by her in the future!

Events by Momo catered our wedding and they were wonderful. They suggested the venue--Bisong Art Gallery--which turned out to be amazing and everyone loved. Moon had great suggestions for the wedding and was very organized. And I can't forget the best part--the food--everyone was raving, everything was simply delicious. And they really worked with us on the menu and incorporated our suggestions. I highly recommend Moon and her team!

We hired Events by Momo for our wedding of about 150 people around November 2013. We did extensive research on about 30 caterers before we settled on Momo. We wanted unique food for the wedding that had a bit of an Asian flare. Even though Momo is a bit on the pricey side ($35 and up per person) the best thing is you can customize the food you want and she can pretty much make it. We had plantains, stir fried mixed vegetables, pepper beef and light creamy curry (vegetarian and with chicken and shrimp).
As the bride, I really didn't get to eat much of the food but we had a lot of compliments

We sampled the whole menu at the Houston Wine Festival and everything was DELICIOUS!!! The braised lamb wraps were my favorite and I can't say I've ever had anything quite like them. I didn't get to try the desserts because my fiancée inhaled them within seconds but she did say that they were very tasty.

I went with Momo catering for my husband's 40th birthday party because of the great reviews on yelp. However, I was very disappointed. Moon is professional and pleasant to work with but in the end, the services provided were far below my expectations. To begin, the party started at 6:30 and they didn't arrive til 6:40. This of course, made my party seem unfinished when guests arrived. The passed hors d'Å“uvre didn't greet my guests on a timely manner and were cold. Hired Momo Catering VERY last minute for a party we hosted for my husband's client. I do a lot of entertaining but did not have any time to spend on this dinner. Emailed Momo Catering 48 hours before the event, told them generally what we were trying to do, and asked if they could possibly help us. Thankfully, they could, they did and it was fantastic. I asked them to suggest the menu and went w/all their suggestions. All I had to do was write the check at the end of the night.
Our guests really enjoyed themselves and the food. I happily recommend these folks for your catering needs

We worked with Moon to have a dinner party catered for friends & family. We have many family members and friends with very different tastes. Moon was able to provide a wide variety of dishes and everyone spoke very highly of the food and the entire event. We would highly recommend Moon to others for any catering and event planning needs.

Moon is an outstanding caterer and event planner but more importantly a wonderful person. She is working on a benefit for a non-profit that provides a safe house for battered women and is providing 100% of her amazing expertise. She does a great job of putting together an innovative menu and stunning decor. I would highly recommend her for your next event!

I was at a friends going away party and i distinctly remember the food. They had brought in several dishes from Momo Catering, which were all excellent. I was extremely full towards the end of the night because each item was not your typical finger foods - everything was really unique and substantive, which made me go back for more.
After talking to the owner, it was evident that she was very professional, loved her job and can be creative/flexible to handle any event. Definitely would want to have Momo cater a future event.

We had Momo's cater a corporate event for us, and we were blown away at how good the food and service was. Before the event the chef worked with us to pick out the perfect menu. She was extremely professional and attentive to all our guests. The food was a huge hit. We still talk about the sweet potato puffs she made.

This is the most amazing food I've had. I had Indian food, among other dishes served, but it's Momo's Indian food that I dream about at night.
It was moist and cooked perfectly. The aromas were intense and mouth-watering. I ate until I was stuffed, and then some more. It made wonderful leftovers.
The chef personally served us, and she was warm and concerned. Before cooking she asked about allergies and preferences. The whole ordeal made me feel like a queen.
