Len is the best industrial sewing machine mechanic I’ve come across in this area.
I needed my machine to be serviced and repaired, trying to meet a deadline. I called him in the afternoon and he came at 7:00am the next day and made my problems go away.
Highly efficient and knowledgeable.

My issue is not quality. Very disappointed with a few recent simple repairs done because he was over priced for the easy quick work needed. I realize he's running a business, but I feel like he's taking advantage of me. If I had the proper sewing machine, I could have easily stitched my latest purse in less than 5 mintues. It was a super simple and quick, easy job and he was going to charge $10, so went elsewhere. Don't like being ripped off!

Mr Gitlin is a miracle worker. I brought in a pair of shoes I had deliberately purchased for their looks and quality that were too tight to get my feet into and that had heels too high to walk in. I hoped they could be remade into something at least wearable for a short amount of time.
They were ready when he said they would be, the cost was more than reasonable, and the shoes fit perfectly and comfortably which is saying a lot with my foot problems. I can and do wear them all day. No other shoe repair place for me!

I have frequented this hidden gem of a business since 2011, and I will never go anywhere else as long as I can help it. May the owner of this shop live forever. He has rebuilt so many pairs of shoes for me over the years, like that one time I stupidly went hiking on a gravel path in a pair of dress boots. The boots look better now than they did when I bought them. All shoes I bring to him look better now than when I bought them. His work is impeccable. Expect brisk, no-nonsense service at the counter as you would at any other hole-in-the-wall establishment. Thank you for the many great experiences

My go to shoe repair shop! I have taken several pairs of my husbands shoes to get new soles done and they looked great every time. It really looks like they take their time in fixing them and not just trying to move things along quickly. Places I have used in the past the shoes never looked like this. You won’t be sorry if you go here. I was pleasantly surprised that they also fix vacuum cleaners among other things. Will be bringing several of my shoes to get new heels put on.

Love this place! Came here last month based on my friends recommendion to replace sole on my husband’s shoes. I was pleasantly surprised when I got back practically new shiny polished shoes. I also realized that I can bring my sawing machine and vacuum cleaner. So I was back on the next day. He cleaned and tuned up the sawing machine and fixed the vacuum cleaner that I tried to fix before but nobody was willing to do it. Both items were in excellent condition when I came in a week to pick them up. Was glad to find out that they also replace batteries, make keys, etc. From now on, this is my place
