Every year millions of workers in the United States experience injury due to occupational injuries. Worker's Compensation is a state run program to assist employees injured at work. These injuries can range from neck and back sprain/strains, to disc herniations, pain in the extremities, and in some serious cases even paralysis or permanent damage to the body.
According to the National Institute of Health Statistics national survey, neck pain is the second most common form of pain in the United States (following back pain and tied with headaches and migraines). An estimated three quarters of Americans will be affected by neck pain at some point in their lifetime.
The spine is a combination of stacked bones, called vertebrae, flexible tendons and ligaments. The vertebrae are in a column divided into four regions: cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral/coccyx. Our spinal system is strong enough to protect the sensitive nerve roots, while at the same time it allows us the flexibility to accomplish all the movements of daily life like walking, twisting, bending and lifting.

I have been treated by Dr. Zauhar for over a year. I was suffering from severe leg cramps and after x-rays and weekly treatments I noticed an improvement within a short period of time. Being pregnant and in awful pain, not only did Lakes Chiropractic get me in right away to be seen, but it was quick, easy, and Dr. Jay was impressively knowledgeable. We love Lakes Chiropractic! My 5 year old and 9 year old go there and see Dr. O’Day! My 9 year old had daily headaches, we went in and saw our family doctor multiple times with no answers or relief.
