My name is Dena Stutzman and I am the owner and founder of Aunt Dena's Bakery. After a full career in the nursing field, I felt called by the Lord to open a business in my retirement. In 2010, I opened my bakery in Washington, Illinois and have been creating the best baked goods in the area ever since.

I am absolutely still a customer, they are that good, but. I recently discovered that they are charging the credit card fee back onto me, when I use my card, which is most of the time. Apparently they have been doing that for a year and a half. I have only been a customer for a year and never noticed until recently. I believe the woman who rang me out said it was an additional 3.5%. And it is stated on a portion of their counter, but it is very small to read. I'll just never be happy with any business that charges me extra for using my card. Credit card fees are the price of running

I was on a walk and needed a bit of water. Stepped in and got the water, but the baked goods looked so delicious. I caved in and bought one ginger cookie. Oh my, that was the best ginger cookie I've ever tasted...soft and so full of good flavor. I need to stop by again in another moment of weakness and try something else.

I stopped going to the local bakeries years ago when the two main businesses started going down with taste and quality in my opinion. THEN...someone introduced me to this business I had never heard of. WOW...if you haven't been run...don't walk!
They have SO MANY sweet treats and all really delicious. Their prices reasonable, outstanding quality, love you can buy individual treats and drum roll...you can get individual squares of wedding cake. *The crowd goes wild*
No joke I've had almost everything there I think and they are without a doubt the best cookies, cakes, breads, brownies

I found mold on two of my breads took it back to the owner!! She was extremely RUDE! She argued with me and tried to reason why. She said she would give me and in store credit rather then giving us the money back. No thank!! Two years prior she completely botched graduation cake design and order for my neighbor. Again.. was very rude to them! I will not give her my business!

I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful wedding cake, cupcakes and cookies you created for our daughters wedding! The cake was beautiful and it was exactly what the kids wanted! Everything was delicious and I have made sure everyone knows where to come for cakes, cookies, pies and any baking need! Thank you so much for making our daughters day so special with the seet treats, we had no left overs!!! We wouldnt go anywhere else - best in town!

Aunt Dena's staff was "new" and did not know how to process a credit card payment over the phone. They did not know what an itemized receipt was and did not supply me with one. The cake was poorly decorated- it looked like my 9 year old wrote on it. The lettering was really off centered. The cake tasted ok but I would not order here again especially for 48$

Crazy reasonable prices and totally worth every penny! Stopped here after throwing away a terrible cupcake purchased in Peoria for $2.50 and then only taking one bite but still needing my sugar fix. Tried out a snickerdoodle cookie for $1.10 (excellent, buttery with just the right amount of spice and chew), a morning glory muffin .75c (not wild about the coconut but overall really yummy with lots of large nuts) and a lemon bar for $1.10 also that was perfectly baked with plenty of lemon! Wish this place was closer to me so I could stop in more but will be thinking of them when I need to order a

A definite WILL NOT disappoint bakery! I cannot imagine ordering from anywhere else! Great service and yummy everything! I purchased a graduation cake and cupcakes for our daughters party and EVERYONE wanted to know where the cake came from! Great service, helpful and friendly! I thought the price was very reasonable!
