Morning Glory Sail aboard Madeleine - Approximately 90-minute sail through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay aboard our 72' schooner. Took the Smugglers Rum Cruise. A great time. The shipmate, Morgan, totally made the trip. Her attentiveness was above and beyond. She was having fun thus passing on that enthusiasm to the passengers. She always made sure we were well taken care of as well as going around and taking pictures for passengers. She is a true gem and definitely recommend and would do that cruise again.

Wife and I decided to go sailing on the Madeleine. Crew on the Madeleine was amazing! Capt. was on point in everything she did. Deckmates was fantastic! Service was outstanding! Drinks were cold and deckmates kept them coming. If you haven't been and used Classic Cruises of Newport - Home to Schooner Madeleine & Rum Runner II you should go. We did the Champagne Sunset Cruise on the Madeline and it was fun! We had some really good views of the sunset and we went pretty far along the coast. The employees were friendly and had some good banter amongst themselves and the other boats. The champagne was pretty good as well. Overall I'd definitely recommend giving it a try and I don't think you'll be disappointed.
My main recommendation would be to bring another coat or maybe a blanket, depending on the time of year obviously. We went this past weekend and we were quite comfortable on land, but once we got out in the bay

Had a great time on the beautiful "Madeline" schooner for the Champagne Sunset Cruise! With Captain Dave steering us, we had a smooth, peaceful beautiful cruise all along and around the Eastern Passage!! We had heard this was a historic ride with views of Jackie O's former compound and other memorable sites, but the friendliness of the staff, the plentiful champagne, and the gorgeousness of the sky set the tone for a truly blissful experience!!

Our family including grandma and our two children ages 7, 9 had a wonderful early afternoon trip aboard the Madeleine. There is an big area of the boat with benches slightly below deck so if you have small children it keeps them safely seated with no worries. The crew was friendly and informative regarding local sites and history, a great perspective of Newport. 90 minutes was perfect amount of time for us on the water, I had no issues with seasickness. We really enjoyed our trip and I'd recommend it for any family (or romantic if you get the sunset cruise) vacation!

I am sure if you get on the boat you booked, it is a lovely tour, but you better make sure the employees are competent enough not to book you on a different boat than you asked for.
This morning, we decided to book a sunset sail. Finding that all were sold out, we were excited to find out from the lovely woman working at the Madeleine/ Rum Runner booth that there was a firework sailing option, which we promptly booked. We were quite clear that we wanted the SAILBOAT option only, as other boats make my husband quite ill because of the boat fuel fumes.
We got to the pier early, parked, had dinner

Highly recommend!!! I've been three times and every time gets better and better! The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable of the area! Huge shout out to Captain Wes for a great experience! Headed out on the sunset sail cruise. It was amazing with the all you can drink champagne! I lucked out because the weather broke and there was a sunset to see! The crew was friendly and offered anecdotes and entertainment. The only downside was that it wasn't narrated so it would have been nice to know what we were seeing while sailing

My wife, daughter, and I spent a wonderful 90 minutes with the crew of the Madeleine this morning. The early cruise was a blast. Captain Wes did a great job making us feel safe and kept us informed of what was going on, as well as letting us know about the boat, the history of sailing in the area, and the sights as we swept by. Best way to explore Newport!! We did the sunset champagne cruise and it was amazing!! The boat ride was fantastic and they had champagne and beer. They crew was very friendly and even when they saw us later that night they spoke and were so nice!! We saw the most beautiful sunset too!! The crew was very knowledgeable and never felt unsafe!!
