Susitna River Lodge is located in the historic village of Talkeetna, Alaska on the east bank of the Susitna River. This stay has been beyond the best lodge I have been to in the state of Alaska.
The area is so welcoming and relaxing. The views are unbelievably breathtaking. The cabins are well furnished and extremely clean. The customer service I experienced in a small 5 minute conversation is unmatched for the years I have spent in the state of Alaska. When we first made a reservation they informed us pets were authorized so we booked a room online.

Services
Our ADA Compliant suite is located on the main floor of the lodge for easy access without the need to climb stairs. This suite has 1 king bed, a sofa sleeper, a private entrance through glass French Doors, full private bath and a kitchenette. Our 3rd suite, also located on the top floor, includes a living area with a sofa sleeper on the main floor, full private bathroom and a queen bed and twin bed in the loft for a more cozy accommodation.
Each of our newer Backwoods Cabins have a private full bathroom, dining area, living room and offers two private bedrooms. The cabin kitchenettes have a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric skillet, hot plate, crock pot, coffee maker and electric tea kettle. They are also furnished with dishes and cutlery.
Each Alaska cabin has a private full bathroom, dining area, and living area on the main floor. There is also a roomy loft for any overnight guest, complete with cozy sitting area that has a view of the sunset in the summer or the Northern Lights on a clear winter night. Our Alaska cabins can each accommodate 5 adults with one king bed and sofa sleeper downstairs and two twin beds in the loft.
All lodge rooms and cabins are "NON-SMOKING"; a $500 cleaning fee will be charged and immediate removal from lodge property if you are caught smoking inside. 30% of the total amount will be charged at the time of booking. Balance due 15 days before arrival. If cancelled up to 15 days prior to arrival, the 30% charged at the time of booking will be retained.
