Our thoughts shape our perceptions, feed our emotions, and are the foundation for our actions. Unfortunately, due to trauma or conditioning from a dysfunctional family or society, we often develop and inherit unhealthy negative beliefs.

With techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement De-Sensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), we will work to remove the thought pattern at its root and replace it with beliefs that create a better outlook and cultivate more joy and confidence.Go inside and listen to your body, because your body will never lie to you.

My definition of holistic is honoring and loving all parts of yourself, mind, body, soul, the good, the bad, and the perfectly imperfect. It means listening to that inner intuitive higher self while nurturing and protecting the child within. It embodies western freedom of self-expression with the wisdom of mystical eastern sages.
Many individuals seek the support of psychotherapy at some point in their lives. The assistance of a skilled and caring therapist can be healing and transformational. Whether you are seeking assistance for anxiety, depression or a history of trauma, need help coping with a recent loss or wish to become more accepting of yourself and others, I am here to help.
Couples and romantic partners seek psychotherapy for many reasons and at many different stages of their lives. Some are seeking a deeper bond and increased intimacy. Others are uncertain of their futures, or whether the resolution of their problems is even possible. Even if you and your significant others are experiencing serious conflicts, psychotherapy may be able to assist you.
It can be very difficult to watch our children struggle and not know how to make it better for them. Fortunately, psychotherapy can help with addressing any underlying difficulties a child may be experiencing at home, in school or in their relationships with others. If your child is experiencing any of the challenges listed below, it may be a sign that they need additional support.
When we experience particularly distressing events, our minds and neural networks permanently freeze. The trauma locks us into an irrational view, belief, and paradigm. EMDR brings different parts of the brain back online and helps us have a whole-brained perspective. New information can come forth, and clients can create a more cohesive narrative.

The sudden death of my husband was what led me to therapy and Erin at East West Holistic Psychotherapy. I was instantly at ease talking with her after our first session. She is engaged and attentive, which has not always been the case with other therapists. He calm and confident demeanor puts me at ease and I trust her. Through my time with Erin I have gained the skills and tools to navigate my emotions, so the world no longer appears daunting.
