Sunless tanning is a popular way to enjoy the look of a tan without the need to go in the sun or tanning bed. Many years ago, the first self-tanners introduced to the market contained dyes that left the skin orange and streaked. Today, thanks to modern technology, Self-tanners are the perfect solution for creating an instant, realistic tan without unsightly orange streaking.

European Tan's freeze (Sunstop) program allows you to maintain your current pricing and an active account status for just $5.00 per month (plus tax). The $5.00 paid per month will be applied back to your account in your "prepaids" and can be utilized as monies towards any purchase when your membership is resumed.

The facility is fine.. It is clean and organized, and the staff are friendly. But the spray tan is WAY over priced. I get personalized, airbrushed spray tans for $15 less, which looks much more natural and evenly colored. I only go to European Tan when I can't get in to see my professional spray gal. I would consider European Tan MUCH more frequently, since you can walk in whenever without an appointment, but the price is NOT worth the convenience.

Very disappointed with there billing mishaps. It's happened several times. All but one issue has been resolved but no one responds to emails or messages left.

They have THE MOST newest tanning beds out of ALL the salons in Salt Lake City & they ACTUALLY keep up on changing their bulbs & it shows!

Thank you for reaching out, I was a bit disappointed in the customer service aspect regarding my appointment, it's happened a few times where I've arrived and someone had an appointment for the spray tan and I end up wanting 15-20 min even though I was there first. The last appointment I arrived 3 min to opening and the door was open and the girl at the front desk told me I had to go wait in my car for 3 min before she would talk to me about why I was there....so I reluctantly went to my car for 3 min then walked in to find her helping someone else and the wanted a spray tan too so I ended up wanting

Every time I go to European Tan I always have a great experience! The receptionists are so kind and the salon is always very clean. The Elite bed is definitely my favorite but all beds are good! Definitely my favorite tanning salon in SLC!

I received a dm from their instagram for a free 5 day pass of UV plus a free spray tan and when I went in to use it, i was greeted with an employee that would not let me use it, even after I explained I had never tanned there before. Will never be returning here i've only ever heard of poor customer service, and also really bummed I wasn't able to even try anything!

I bought a package for the sole purpose of beating the winter sads but will probably be a regular customer after my experience. i was assisted by Mianna and she was so helpful and informative which is greatly appreciated because i know nothing about tanning. the whole experience was very comfortable and the beds were great. will definitely return!

I absolutely love European tan especially the downtown location. The staff is always so warm and friendly and so knowledgeable. But one girl worth calling out is Madelyn (Maddie). If you are beginning out this is your gal! she is super helpful with recommendations on products and switching up beds and after care. She’s the best! Go see for yourself. Overall best tanning experience. Super clean always. Staff definitely makes it #1 for me.

Bought a pack of the most expensive bed and they didn’t tell me they expired when I purchased them. Seems kinda shady to expire in a pandemic, but what do I know?!
The front desk girls have all been so nice and helpful. Would go back because of their service, but that’s it.

I tried European Tan for the first time today and everything was a pleasant experience, from the phone call to the visit. Before coming in I spoke with Allie over the phone and she was very helpful explaining their beds and current specials. Emma helped me in-store with registration and selecting a lotion. Both were super welcoming and knowledgeable. I don't tan often but I'm glad I tried this place out!

I absolutely LOVE this tanning salon!
I'll first start off with cleanliness. The salon is spotless and is always in perfect condition.
The salon always has specials, so I recommend checking them out
Parking is easy to find.

The staff is so amazing! They are all incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and ready to answer any questions.
My tan looks wonderful! I am so happy with how it works. I don't look like an orange, I look like I have a natural beautiful tan.

The lady at the desk was super helpful. She showed me all the beds and what each of them do. She even gave me a few free tans when I signed up! The customer service is great. The beds were clean and the one I used worked well. They do not provide goggles so you have to buy some if you go in without them, they are $4.50 a pair.

Amazing salon! The employees are very nice and well trained! They helped me learn everything I needed to know about tanning before I started! The beds are always clean, they have a great stock of lotions. They are a bit expensive, but you pay for what you get. Love this place and cannot wait to continue tanning!

I didn't have the best first experience here, but decided to give it another shot. The first time I was charged for things I didn't ask for & just had a sour taste in my mouth about this place. I went back in, and Bailey was absolutely phenomenal. I explained what had happens previously & she restored my faith in this place. Her customer service is absolutely above & beyond. She is incredible!

This place was fine until I told them I had to discontinue my account because I was moving. I told the girl that I spoke to originally that I was only there likely until mid November trying to find out which option was better for me to save money. She said I should sign up for a membership which is what I had when I used to live there years ago. When I said I found out my leave date was the 13th they said that I will have to pay for another month starting the 17th. I told more than one employee that I needed their manager or owner to call me. Several times I made it clear that I was not OK with

I would agree with other reviewers that the staff is pushy. I found this out in just two visits. My first visit I was not even asked if I had goggles, the guy helping me handed me a pair and than charged my visa. I was only expecting an $8 single session but my total was almost $14 on the receipt. I already owned a pair and was annoyed I was unwillingly charged, no mention of it either from the employee.

They will try to up sale you each time. I don't like that, I know what I want when going into a tanning salon and I felt they try to talk you out of it or into something more. Maybe just

I know it's kind of annoying when a customer comes in 5 min before close (I did this tonight) but I'm only tanning for 10 min CHILL OUT to the rude blonde girl with clumpy lashes. Didn't even make eye contact with me or offer me anything and literally gave me the WORST customer service I've ever had here. None of the girls are that pleasant but this one really made me not want to ever come back. The Ruva was nothing to brag about either and they make you purchase eye wear for $5. Thanks for my free birthday tan though.

DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!!!! This company is a horrible scam! You sign up for whatever special they are advertising and they have you hooked with all your info. When you go to use what you signed up for there is always a problem or extra charges they didn't tell you about.

Trying to cancel or deactivate your membership is nearly impossible. They won't accept email, you can never reach anyone in charge, they want you to come into their salon to fill out one of their forms to deactivate membership, then either don't have the forms, or no one their knows what to do with them and want

My normal tanning salon on 1300 south closed last year, and I, being a creature of habit, have been fairly afraid of trying a new tanning salon. European Tan is definitely the best salon I've ever been to. Jess walked me through all the bed choices, and I didn't feel like I was being pressured to buy $100 tanning lotion. I've since moved away, but I continue to use European tan. They were just as good as my other locally owned shop.

I purchased a package of four (4) tanning sessions from this location. On my second use the bulbs for the face stopped working during my session. When I remarked on the problem and asked for a refund on that session I was told that one would not be issued as the bulb failure must have been a "user error" with the machine. My only option was to purchase another session and they would give me a second one for free. Hardly seems fair that you offer a service and don't deliver on it then charge the customer to get it back -- plus what would make you think I would want to continue to

Dishonest company. I'm so disappointed with my experience here. I was participating in their text message specials and would just buy those for the occasional times I wanted to tan. I went in today and was "helped" by a girl named Natasha who was rude and anything but helpful. I wanted to use one of the tans from a pass I had purchased and she said that it expired after 90 days of purchase.
1- The text special never said it had an expiration
2- When I purchased passes, I was never informed about them expiring
3- In Utah, it is illegal to not redeem a coupon or deal you purchased
