Ellen Stoloff Physical Therapy, LLC is a privately owned home care physical therapy practice in Essex County, NJ catering to a geriatric population in the privacy and comfort of the patient's home. We treat patients who elect to have physical therapy at home rather than in an outpatient clinic. Services
Have you been injured from exercise in the past? Has your course of rehabilitation ended and you wish to continue exercising safely? Our wellness program is for those who simply desire a guided exercise and wellness regimen, or whose Medicare benefits have been exhausted and would like to continue with physical therapy.
Medicare Part B allows your patients to receive outpatient physical therapy in the privacy, comfort and convenience of their home. Any healthcare practitioner can identify the need for physical therapy in his/her patients. We accept requests for home care physical therapy from MD's, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, and others.
Do I need a prescription? Yes. Medicare requires that we have a physician's prescription for physical therapy prior to your first visit. Please have your physician fax us the prescription prior to starting therapy, or direct him/her to our physical therapy prescription form here. Where do you treat patients?

Ellen worked with my mother who had a fall and was in tremendous pain.
Ellen was extremely caring but yet firm with sharing what it was that mother needed to do and why it was important that my mother did them on her own in between sessions. Ellen carefully explained as well as demonstrated all the exercises and always followed up to see how she was doing with the exercises. She was wonderful!

Ellen has been working with my mother on balance issues since last year. We noticed a big difference in her gate when she was having therapy and a decline in her balance when she was not receiving it. We love the fact that Ellen comes to your house so you can do therapy in the privacy of your own home where you are comfortable. She’s always prompt, polite and is great at what she does. She works with insurances as well. I would recommend Ellen highly. Givr her a try before going to a facility. I promise you won’t regret it.

Ellen came to evaluate my 95 yr old mother. She was kind and considerate with her. Unfortunately she was mainly bedridden and was not a good candidate for therapy. But Ellen made some very good recommendations for her medication and alternatives for her. I appreciated her patience and thoroughness and would recommend her to anyone with aging relatives that need pt.

Simon and I could not have been happier with the level of care lovingly bestowed by Ellen Stoloff. She astutely assessed his problems and addressed as many as possible. He now knows how to get up from a chair without falling and that alone is remarkable! He has begun to strengthen his calf muscles. With her encouragement he will continue her exercises to stall the worst sequelae of Parkinson’s. She is a wonderful therapist and we were fortunate to be one of her patients!

I cannot say enough. My Aunt went from bedridden two years, to walking with a walker. She is now mobile and sleeping in her own bed. She has regained her life. The patience and compassion shown to my aunt was unsurpassed. I am in complete gratitude. Extremely knowledgeable care with heart. Great motivators. A must use.

Ellen was my grandmother’s physical therapist for several months. She provided care during home visits and enabled my grandmother to continue living safely at home. She works exclusively with the geriatric population and has extensive knowledge and experience, which made us confident we were in the right hands. She is incredibly patient and thoughtful during her visits. She was such a pleasure to work with.
