In couple's therapy, the psychologist can help you and your partner to heal each other. In individual psychotherapy, it is the relationship between you and your psychologist that heals. No matter what the problem, or the therapeutic approach, it is always the quality of the relationship that determines the outcome of therapy.

As a psychologist I work with individuals in psychotherapy and with couples in conjoint therapy to develop healing relationships. Call me if you would like to meet. There is no fee for an initial consultation.
Services
Dr. Good is a licensed psychologist and board certified psychoanalyst. He coordinates marriage and family therapy training at the Department of Psychiatry at Wayne State University School of Medicine, is adjunct faculty at The Michigan School of Professional Psychology, and is a lecturer at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute where he trains other therapists in assessing and treating couples and individuals.
Dr. Good works alone in his office suite with no other therapists or support staff on site. Social distances are maintained at all times. Surfaces are wiped down between each appointment. Please wear a mask when entering the building and transitioning through common areas to Dr. Good's office. Upon arrival at the office please sit in the waiting room just inside the foyer until called by Dr. Good.
It is a huge step to start to realize that there is a reason why you keep defeating yourself. When you reach this point, I can help you. As a psychologist and psychoanalyst, I can provide you the opportunity to experience the underlying feelings within our therapeutic relationship that you are unable to experience anywhere else in your life.
The very behavior that drives couples to marriage counseling, the very thing that hurts the most, is typically the very thing that provides the opportunity for growth, healing, and intimacy. Couples choose each other without realizing it, to be able to repeat and work through unresolved, past experiences.

He's great! Very aware and pays attention to every detail. Dr. Good helped me through a lot. He isn't a psychologist who just agrees with you, he tells you what you need to hear. I enjoy seeing him
