Kannapolis Engine Service was founded by my Grandpa Clyde L Poteat in 1970 in Kannapolis North Carolina, after retiring from the United States Navy for service as a Sea Bee. Paul Poteat (My Dad), Clyde's son took control of the business in the late 1980's and has helped the business grow ever since.
In 2004 we began warehousing for engine parts companies to help ensure that we have just about any engine part in stock to suit all of our customers needs. Now that we are a third generation business we are making leaps and bounds bringing the business into the 21st century.
