Services
Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home is the oldest family owned funeral home in Walterboro and Colleton County. The original business, known simply as Walterboro Funeral Parlors, was located on Washington Street directly across from the present day city waterfall.

Established by Mr. G.C. Brown and Mr. W.L. Easterlin, the location is easily discernable now by the lone section of wooden storefront, along what is presently a totally brick and glass downtown main street. In fact, the furniture store owned by Mr. Easterlin, which was a common joint venture for many funeral directors of the day, was located on the exact spot of the current city waterfall, across from his funeral home.

These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Gordon is a native of Colleton County, and is the youngest son of the late John Benjamin "J.B." Rhoden Sr. and Clara Kinard Rhoden.
The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation. Our charge for a direst cremation (without ceremony) includes: basic services of staff, share of overhead costs, removal of deceased from place of death, obtaining all necessary paperwork and permits, and cremation.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.

My family has had 2 services done here and they have gone above and beyond making such a hard time easier. Beautiful simple services. We have also attended beautiful funerals.

This is the sorriest funeral home. The owner does not do quality work. Hel lies to you. He puts cheap plastic letters on grave markers. He did not make memorial bulletin for services for visitors and family to have as a keepsake. Does not keep his word when he promises to fix grave markers. Greenlawn cemetery is covered in sand spurrs. I would never use this funeral home ever again.
