The course content is encylopedic, concise and readily understandable. Insightful and valuable for anyone needing to understand more about dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. This course was very helpful in increasing my knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's. It helped prepare me for what to expect and how to properly care for a loved one with dementia.
I would recommend this course to anyone in the caregiving field or with aging loved ones-you will learn something new and be more empathetic and skilled in navigating this challenging condition. The girls were very attentive and were on top of Mabel's needs as well as the needs of her home. If there was an occasional issue the Aishling staff handled it immediately!

Services
Our mission at Aishling Companion Home Care is to keep your loved one Home, Healthy and Happy, because we know that one-to-one Dementia Care supersedes all else. An Aishling Companion Home Care caregiver is specially trained and certified to help. We also specialize in non-dementia home care, including but not limited to Parkinson's disease, accidental injury, and other special needs situations.
This course was created for family members just like myself who knew nothing about dementia and were faced with a loved one who diagnosed with this disease. You can take this course at your own phase and there's even a test after each session that will help you understand this disease. This course is also certified for healthcare professionals such as RN, PT, OT, SW, LCSW, and LNHA.
Home Care services are non medical, personal care services. Sometimes as we, or our parents age we require additional care. This is usually a difficult time in our lives to identify for ourselves or for our loved ones. There are many reasons for this. As an adult, watching our parents age, is not something we are prepared for.
Once you have talked with your family, gotten your legal documents in order, and have a formal diagnosis, it's time to come together and create a "Care Plan". This is an organized plan that is customized to your family's needs, requirements and situation. This plan will need updating as your loved one's needs change.
Manny-May is a 130lb medical mannequin used to train our caregivers for bed-bound clients. There are endless options for Home Care Agencies to provide training. Typically, agencies use training videos that depict perfect case scenarios in the home.
We understand that situations can become the complete opposite of "perfect case" within the home, and for that reason we create practical conditions with the assistance of Manny Mae - the non-perfect scenario. Our caregivers can run into a variety of circumstances and we want them to be completely trained, prepared, and confident in how to handle any kind of care successfully.

When searching for the right fit in Live-In home care for my father who has Parkinson's as well as Dementia, we are so fortunate to find Aishling Companion Care. Everyone associated with Aishling from the owner Aishling herself, the office staff, and most importantly the care giver we worked with were top notch. The care giver had years experience in the field and the team at Aishling did their homework in making sure they found the perfect fit for my father. I HIGHLY recommend Aishling Companion Home Care. There is nothing I can think of that could have went better. Thank You Aishling & Team!

I just just completed the course "Dementia Has a Face And A Name". This course is a great resource to anyone that has experience with family member that have dementia. This will definitely give them the background and the understanding why the Elderly are behaving differently. This Course will provide them with the skills to be able to provide their loved ones a happy and safe living environment.

Aishling staff managers are very caring people, who went over and beyond to discern the particular "individual" needs of our family for care giving. They extended themselves, especially the owner, in areas beyond care giving, that supported the family during the time of uncertainty, anxiety and transition. The personal kindness and individualized attention, provided by Aishling Companion Home Care managers has been the outstanding characteristic of our relationship with Aishling.

Aishling is the embodiment of sheer professionalism. She is personable and knows everything there is to know about home healthcare. She is involved in home health at such a deep level including board memberships, think tanks, and licensing supervision. She is a wonderful person and has a terrific team. Her patients are in the best possible hands. I could not recommend her more highly.

My father had to spend some time in a rehab/assisted living facility after having congestive heart failure and a heart attack. We were surprised at the care given at the facility that was to be so good. It was not.
We contacted Aishling at Aishling Companion Home Care and she immediately understood our needs and was able to fulfill our requests for caregivers around the clock to be there for my father. Each person was caring and compassionate and we feel really helpful in getting my fathers recovery on track and in a faster manner than had we not hired a service. So glad we were referred to Aishling

The care my aunt received from Aishling Care was second to none. The carers were professional, compassionate and were always willing to go the extra mile (pick up a delayed prescription, stay a little longer if needed etc) Aishling herself was a pleasure to deal with. She was patient, listened to what our specific needs were and always delivered. I would wholeheartedly recommend their service to any family that find themselves in need of home care.
