Purchasing a home may be the largest and most complicated process you will make in your lifetime. We would love to work with you if you are buying a home in either a Stark or Summit Counties. Buying a house may be the most complicated financial process of your entire life. There are many steps, and over 20 professionals that will work on your purchase before you are closed.
Whether you decide to partner with a Realtor or not, is a personal decision. If you have the expertise in the many areas of knowledge that are required, as well as the time to dedicate to the sale of your home, it may be to your benefit to sell on your own. About 9 percent of the real estate sales in any given year are FSBO (For Sale By Owner).
Tell us a little about your home and we'll compare it to other homes for sale in your area. We'll give you a real time picture of the homes that might be competing with yours as well as statistics on the market in your area. You can also request a competitive market analysis from one of our experienced agents.
How do you screen applicants? Should backgrounds searches be done? What will they entail? Tenants will be asked to apply online at www.pikusrealestate.com. There are no exceptions. Tenants will pay an application fee. This helps us determine the level of interest the tenant has in your home. After a review of the application, we pull a TransUnion Credit Report, a full address and criminal history.
My husband and I have worked with Shirley for many years and have found her to be hard-working, thorough, creative and very ethical. When I found out Shirley was embarking on property management, I was very excited. Living out of state makes owning a rental very challenging and Shirley is the only person I would trust to take care of our property and our interests, while at the same time caring for our renters.

Pikus Real Estate managed a property i rent and i admit i didn't have the cleanest background but Shirley Pikus took a chance on me and I'm glad she did I've been heregoing on 3 years she done a fabulous job quick to respond when a repair was needed or there was any kind of issue i would not hesitate to recommend her company or rent from her again

Last night (yes, less than 24 hours ago on a Sunday night, no less) our basement main backed up and we had a couple inches of standing water in our basement. This came out of nowhere with no warning. I contacted Shirley, and she immediately called me back and said she'd get in touch with a plumber ASAP, but warned me that labor shortages had caused some delays lately. Well, about 22 hours later, the plumbers just left and our problem is solved! It would have been sooner but they were delayed on a job that took longer than they anticipated. Shirley is very unprofessional. My roommate & I applied for her units and she rejected us, which is understandable but I called her just to ask why and see if we could provide more information and her professionalism is embarrassing. Her son, Sean, told us completely different information when viewing the unit in comparison to what she had told me over the phone. Her attitude was very, very nasty. Her son had contacted my employer for job verification, yet she had lied to me about that as well. If you look at above reviews from people who left bad ones, you can see she replies with the same nasty

Shirley is a rude individual and that’s all i gotta say, not to mention every bad review she has, she responds with unprofessional attitude. (Look at her responses, it’s ridiculous).That’s exactly how it is speaking with her over the phone, not the best quality to have when you’re a “business woman.” All in all her properties were very well kept, but you have to make sure you like the person , not just the place.

Shirley and her son are very unprofessional. My roommate and I were told 2 completely things by the both of them, and then continued to be disrespected by Shirley when the issue was brought up. Even after we were told that the issue would be looked into, we were completely ignored and were never responded to after we’ve emailed and called them.

We’ve rented from Shirley Pikus for almost 2 years now. From the minute you meet her you feel more comfortable with a process that most of us hate. She is a gem in this business and the couple of issues that happened while we were renting were fixed quickly. If I ever moved back to the area she is one of the first that I will contact for a place. We will miss you Shirley 🙂

Rude and curt over the phone. Won't talk or respond to myself or my daughter-in-law. She only talks with my husband. This wastes time, since he works & cannot answer all calls. I work from home, & can readily take phone calls.
Over-committs on repair time frames & seldom is whatever fixed the first time. You have to let whomever they send, into your house..
Lastly, Shirley was just confrontational as soon as she took over, and that's how it stayed.
