Topical creams for prevention and reduction of fine lines available in-office include Refissa and M.D. Fort, Reval, creams as well as other product lines which change depending on our favorite available products. Dark spots (lentigos) can be removed with cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen or can be treated with lightening creams including hydroquinone of varying strengths.

The office staff is both friendly and efficient. Calls were returned and pre- appointment questions were answered promptly. Dr. Bodnar is clearly an expert in his field. Two days after my first visit to his office, the problem I had been dealing with showed great improvement. I highly recommend him.

I have known and trusted Dr Bodnar with my skin care for many years. Not only has he treated me, but he has cared for my family as well. When my son was a teenager, he provided acne treatment for his skin with great results. He has also performed Moh's surgery for skin cancer on my brother and parents with wonderful outcomes.

I called with a skin problem and I saw the physician assistant (Jennifer) later that morning. Excellent attention to detail and took time to explain the breakout and prescribed creams to help. Excellent dermatology practice and Great experience over all from very little wait during check in to check out. Dr. Rietkerk removed a cyst close to my private area the same day with minimal pain and discomfort. His nurse was also great! I am a clinician myself so I set the bar high for other colleagues. Highly recommend!

Peoples of my age seem to have a lot of experience with medical practitioners and their staff. As we are new to the area we lucked into Conejo Dermatology and more specifically Dr Rietkierk. Upon my first visit he found what he suspected to be melanoma. When the biopsy came back he personally called me to explain the findings and his recommendations. When was the last time you were called directly by a Dr? In my subsequent screenings I found the same attention to detail as my first exam. I’d also like to give the staff kudos for always being helpful, efficient and nice!

Quick check-in downstairs (temperature taken). I came early in the morning so the office wasn’t busy yet. Sometimes the office is hopping with patients - which is when you have to exercise your own patience - because the doctor spends whatever time is needed with each patient.

Have been seeing Dr Mitchell for about 5 years and she is always great. Had to see Dr Reitkirk for an emergency when Mitchell wasn’t available and he was also excellent. And while Dr Mitchell has been on maternity leave I have seen the PA, Jennifer, twice and was very impressed with her as well. I recommend this office to everyone.

3 weeks ago I saw another TO dermatologist on an urgent basis to get a mole checked out because I had to wait for an appointment at Conejo Dermatology. I kept my appointment at Conejo Dermatology because I wasn’t sure if I trusted the evaluation and recommendations of the initial dermatologist and boy am I glad I did. The physical examination was much more thorough and the MD took biopsies of 2 other parts of my body the initial doctor never saw or addressed. Very happy that I kept this appointment at Conejo Dermatology. And BTW, the staff here is super friendly and warm!

Dr Mitchell is in such a hurray. I went for her to check for skin cancer and pre cancer . Saw her in Feb 2021. April 2021 found out she missed 3 spots. Talked to office manager and front office staff. Ten days she never called to address

I had been a patient of Dr. Kamell for years and his office staff ruined my whole experience and unfortunately I will not be supporting this practice any longer. I was changing insurances and I had given Ivette a call since she runs the front desk prior to arriving to my appointment asking her if I was still good to see Dr. Kamell. She admitted on a recorded line saying "yes you are covered till the end of the month". Well I continued to get my blood draw so that Dr. Kamell could have my results to monitor and when I arrived to my scheduled appointment Ivette came up to me apologizing

For quicker check in the day of your appointment always fill out the pre check-in email that arrives to your inbox before your visit. It's a long list of questions so you don't want to be stuck outside filling it out before being let in. (I wish it was a shorter questionnaire, It would be great if those were auto filled and they just ask if anything has changed)

I just can't say enough about how amazing of doctors Dr. Rietkerk and Dr Jeanette Kamell Mitchell are at Conejo Dermatology. My little guy has been battling with a good size rash all week and Dr. Reitkerk has made himself so available and patient with me. He has checked in over the weekend and walked me off the ledge. If you or your kids has skin issues, these guys are amazing!!

Dr. Mitchell is simply amazing!! This woman is not only friendly, personable and caring, she is highly skilled!! For years, my daughter struggled with warts on her hands. The previous dermatologist utilized several techniques from freezing to using "Beetlejuice." Nothing worked so I "Yelped best Dermatologists" and Dr. Mitchell's name popped up as being the best in the area. True enough, with one visit, Dr. Mitchell's treatment got rid of all the warts! It's been over a year, warts gone and my daughter is no longer embarrassed to shake hands with others!!

Dr. Bodnar has been my dermatologist for three years now and I would recommend him to anyone looking for one. He is personable, highly competent and efficient, which make for nice, quick appointments. The front office and nursing staff are also very sweet and the new office is beautiful.
Appointments can get a bit backed up right before lunch and at the end of the day, because they are trying to get you in to be seen as soon as possible, but if you can avoid those times, the wait is minimal.
I have only seen Dr. Bodnar, but I have heard nothing but good things about the rest of the doctors

I went to Conejo Dermatology today after leaving another Thousand Oaks practice where I have been going for over 15 years. The other practice had treated me for regular check ups and two MOHS procedures for squamous cell carcinoma. I finally got fed up with the revolving door of doctors at the practice. Dr. Kamell is the best! I've had two procedures done to my scalp due to having cysts on it. Both times he did exemplary work while being thoughtful and distracting. When you're getting a procedure and your nerves take over, it's good to have a distraction to keep you busy.
Nurse Michelle is also very thoughtful and kind. She takes the time to listen to you and is comforting when anxiety hits. Her smile scares away the most cumbersome worries. All in all the whole staff at the office from when you first walk in to when you check out is great!

Dr. Kamell and fellow practitioners have moved in to fancy new digs in a medical office building on the site of what was once a Bob's Big Boy, digging back into old Conejo Valley history.
Conejo Dermatology is on the second floor, accessible by stairs, or their own private elevator. The lobby area is spacious, and quite tastefully designed and decorated.
All the staff members I encountered were very pleasant and helpful.
Dr. Kamell took biopsy samples of two areas that hopefully won't be skin cancer. I'll be back in the shiny new building next week to get the report and

Dr Mitchell is an amazing dermatologist! She is not only friendly but gives you the upmost care. She has terrific bedside manner and is very thorough with any procedures she will be performing recognizing your concerns.
When I asked Siri who the best dermatologist is in Thousand Oaks- she said "Dr. Mitchell" and she was right.
I am very thankful for having such a good experience but sad that I won't be coming back!

Let me start by saying that I have had a lot of moles removed by many a dermatologist. No one is more gentle and more thorough then Dr. Mitchell. Honestly, her injections are painless and I never have any complications after my procedures.
I started seeing Dr. Mitchell about three years ago and I could not be happier. I have never had any dermatologist photograph concern areas so that those areas could be assessed over time. This allows her to no only be conservative in her treatment, but have a comparison should something change. I see her every 6 months like clockwork. The staff is super nice

Dr. Ralph Kamell is an extremely professional doctor. I felt at ease in his care from my initial visit to my procedure which was performed just today. His work is excellent. Showed up to appointment five mins earlier with all my paperwork ready and filled out ( printed them out from website)
Waited in waiting room for about 35-40 minutes.. Pretty sure it's two different schedules for doctors because I was seeing people who came in after me go in before me.
When called back staff was very short with me, as well as Doctor. Was in the back office for a total of no more than ten mins.
Felt rushed and impersonal .
Was referred out and sent on my way.

I have been a patient here for almost two years. I have had multiple procedures performed by Dr. Mitchell and am very pleased with how I am treated and the level of professionalism. I have asked as well to have more than one procedures completed on the same day. If it just a simple mole removal, she will take care of more than one site during a visit.
