I am a Board Certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist serving Palm Beach, FL and surrounding areas. Prior to starting Goldcoast Psychiatry, I practiced in many diverse clinical sites in Atlanta, GA. Including Marcus Autism Center and Skyland Trail, two nationally recognized treatment centers.
During my residency training at Emory University, I was selected Chief Fellow in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and house staff President in Adult Psychiatry. I spent time traveling to Poland and India teaching both psychiatry and neurology while at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, NY.

As a Board Certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, I have worked extensively with children and adolescents of all ages and understand the unique nature of this relationship. My goal is to provide a warm and compassionate environment that is supportive of improvement and change. In my years of experience, I have always taken a comprehensive and collaborative approach.
This will depend on the needs of each individual but may include medication management or a combination of medication and therapy. Currently we only see a limited number of adult patients. There may be child or adolescent disorders that we do not provide ongoing treatment; however, in these cases we can provide an assessment.

When you call the office you are always sent to the voicemail of the receptionist as if they are screening their calls. When she returned my call she asked me to explain the reason for my call and how I heard about them. She took information about my son and said she would discuss the situation with Dr. Shekhat and get back to me. When I spoke with her the next day she said unfortunatly he could not help my son. I asked her why so I would know how to continue my search and she said she didn't know why. On their website they say they are qualified to handle all the areas I am concerned about. Very
