Jen was born and raised in Rhode Island and spent four years in the banking business before she left to raise her family. She was excited to re-enter the work force at Lakewood Park Orthodontics and uses her expert organizational skills and warm personality to manage the front desk as our scheduling coordinator.
My family and my profession as an orthodontist are my passions in life. I feel blessed to be a part of this profession and to have patients let me into their lives each and every day in order to help them achieve their goal of attaining a beautiful smile.

All orthodontists must be licensed to practice, but at this time only 1 in 3 orthodontists have continued on to complete Board Certification. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification process signifies a unique achievement-a significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics.

My son, Jason, recently got braces at Lakewood Park Orthodontics. His experience was pleasant. He felt safe, calm and relaxed even though he was nervous about getting braces and also concerned about covid-19. Dr. Hughes and her staff were great, walking him through getting the braces and then also the maintenance of them.

Dr. Hughes is one of the best doctors we’ve ever met. She is pleasant, conscientious, smart and approachable.
The office is very clean, warm and welcoming. They take the time to literally change the whole office decorations according to each season! The Staff is very friendly and professional. We have been going there for over 2 years, and we absolutely love it!

After going back and forth about getting braces for our daughter, we were so delighted to get the candid and honest opinion of Dr. Hughes. Deciding to take the braces route, we were very pleased with all aspects of Dr. Hughes practice. All of the staff is so caring and efficient. The waiting area is inviting and comfortable, had entertainment for the patients yet it wasn't a circus. Dr. Hughes was always available to explain the visit or the next steps which was quite helpful as a parent. And most importantly, my daughter is thrilled with her new smile!
