Dr. Bacalar was raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Master's degree in Biotechnology from Rush University Medical Center, and Doctor of Dental Medicine from the progressive College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University in Arizona.

Amazing dental practice. Can't say enough positive things. I was truly impressed by the excellent quality of care, especially the thorough treatment planning and conservative approach. After having some restorative work done, I brought my kids in for their cleanings. The staff is great with kids and so helpful in making anxious patients feel comfortable. Very evident that they care about their patients!

Smilin Dental is a wonderful facility with wonderful dentists. They are professional yet extremely friendly and kind with one goal in mind do what ever is best for their patient.! Each team member is committed to doing exceptional work and they love what they do. I would highly recommend them for all dental procedures. My dental Hygienist, Ilyse, totally made you feel at ease and made me totally comfortable getting my teeth cleaned. Every single person from the reception desk to both Dentists were all nice and professional. Highly recommend this office !

I am a new patient to this office, and everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. There are many protocols in place to keep everyone safe from Covid, so you can feel assured about being there. The hygienist is professional, thorough and puts you at ease. The assistants are concerned about your comfort and help you in any way they can. Dr. Bacalar explains everything, listens carefully to you and answers any questions you may have. His skills are excellent, his touch is light and he checks and double checks so you can feel confidence in whatever work you have had.

If I could give Dr.Kenneth Milin ZERO stars I most certainly would!
I went to him years ago and he was beyond arrogant and could care less about correcting his improperly fitting crown!!
The only reason I am writing this review now is because a specialist suggested I go to him for some other restorative work.
That said, might I suggest you run, not walk away from Dr Milin!
There are plenty of other dentists who actually care about the work they do.
Dr Kenneth Milan thinks that because he has a "Dr" in front of his name he can treat people rudely.

I've had a very positive experience with Smilin Dental. From reception to Dr. Bacalar - everyone is a professional and make you feel at ease. Karin, who is Dr. Bacalar's assistant, makes you feel very comfortable and has great energy. Tamara, my hygienist is fantastic at what she does and uses humor to make the overall experience more fun. Most importantly - they are good at what they do!

Professional. Wonderful/caring staff. Compassionate. Honest. Great communication skills. Great patience. Gentle. Not exactly words normally used to describe a dentist's office - but all so very true. When I walk into this office - I feel like I am truly in great hands. The entire staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable - such a wonderful group of people, all of them! Best dentist practice I have ever experienced! Period.

I can’t recommend Smilin Dental enough. My experiences with them over the past 5 years have been nothing short of wonderful. The staff, hygienists, and dentists are always so happy, comforting and kind. They make going to the dentist an enjoyable experience for me and my children. Highly recommend!

It's not often that people rave about their dentist...Well, mine deserves a rave....Kenneth N. Milin, D.D.S. & Associates.... Dr. Milin is in Wilmette. He just did a great procedure on me. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. If anyone looking for a new dentist, I recommend you going in to meet with Dr. Milin

Dr. Milin has been our family dentist for so many years that I can't even remember that far back. Our family has been so happy with Dr. Milin's superior dental and interpersonal skills, that our son now commutes from the city for his dental care and our daughter, son-in-law, and now small grandkids are his and Dr. Maggio's loyal patients, too! Our… hygienists at the practice are long-term employees who know us well and do excellent work. Drs and staff are great with kids and anxious patients, creating a safe and sensitive environment.
