We have hired Advanced Chimney Sweeps twice now to inspect and clean our chimney and … they have been quick, professional, and pleasant to work with. Advance Chimney Sweeps inspected and cleaned the chimney in our recently purchased home. The previous owner's did not have any records of chimney care so it was crucial to us that we have a detailed and thorough inspection. Advance Chimney used a camera to inspect every inch of our chimney and took photos to show exact areas of concern. They also took time to explain to us the proper use and function of our fireplace. The cleaning and inspection took less than 2 hours and they left the area very clean. We received a detailed report and repair estimate within an hour of servicing our chimney. Our

We have a fireplace and wood stove with separate pipes that run through the same chimney. We used Advance Chimney Sweep once before and the inspection and cleaning were fine. The last time we used them, the owner came with the worker and after they tore down the wood stove pipe, the owner said they couldn't go any further and would not even put our pipe back together "because when the wood stove was installed, it was done incorrectly and not up to code". They charged the full amount and left a mess on the floor, and my husband and I had to put it all back together! Since then we

Bad experience! They were quick to respond (which should have told me something because of how busy they should have been). Guy shows up...immediately complaining about how he thought I only had one fireplace, despite spending a good amount of time on the phone detailing that there were two, and exactly where they were. The guy wouldn't speak to me until the end, where I learned absolutely nothing about my new homes fireplace and instead was shoved a pile of brochures, telling me how bad my chimney was. The quote was extremely high...WAY high...

Then I get a letter from the company in

$200 for an estimate. The guy climbed the ladder to the chimney and wasted a couple of minutes there. Then took photos in my basement. He had to make the estimate look worthwhile somehow. Then 10-minutes later from his truck, he emailed me a ridiculous quote that would buy a small house. Clearly, he wasn't interested in the job and I probably got the super fast quote because he was in a hurry to see how big of a sucker he was dealing with. He is a crook in my opinion.

I had 2 guys from this company come to inspect and clean my chimney.
They were friendly and courteous, although it didn't seem like they were concerned with the time it took for them to be done.
I paid $250 for them to tell me, that my chimney was in no working condition and I would have to pay another $4200 for them to fix it!
So I wonder, why was I still charged for the cleaning, if they already knew, the fireplace wouldn't be used any time soon. That was not very nice and I am pretty upset about that!
