Our chimney sweeps use state-of-the-art equipment to inspect and sweep any type of chimney, including wood and gas. While sweeping your system, we make sure that everything is in working order. Chimney Cricket will look for any problems that could be preventing peak performance and will recommend what is needed for your system to burn cleanly and safely.
We offer a full range of repairs to chimney systems, big and small, from repairing dampers to chimney/firebox pointing and masonry repair. Exterior repairs are important in order to maintain and preserve your chimney. Exterior repairs such as chimney crown replacement are needed when the cement crown is cracked or deteriorated, allowing water and ice to enter the chimney and cause damage that can result in having to rebuild your chimney.
If you use your wood burning or gas fireplace with any regularity, it's important to make sure that it's operating safely and efficiently. We will inspect your chimney system from top to bottom if you are concerned that it is not working properly. As part of our cleaning service, Chimney Cricket will look at all of the parts of your fireplace and chimney to make sure that everything is in good working order.
If water is damaging your fireplace inside or out, we'll find the problem and fix it-no matter the source. Without being protected, all new and existing masonry chimneys are susceptible to water damage, even after they have been repaired. Why? Because chimneys project above the roof line, they are vulnerable to the elements.

I had the good fortune of finding these folks randomly, yet I could not have been more pleased. They know their business and their customer service is excellent.
I had them come to clean two chimneys. The said both chimneys we're relatively clean but that I needed caps over both, plus the brick needed to be sealed and waterproofed.
All the work was done with craftsmanship and in a workmanlike manner.
We burn several cords every winter. Chiminey Cricket are the ONLY guys that I will let touch my fireplaces.
Great job guys.

I found out about Chimney Cricket from Angie's List of all places, which I don't visit anymore. They were recommended there also. A man came to clean my chimney, he didn't talk much, he left no mess, and only told me that my carpet was bad and I needed a rug in front of my chimney or my house would be engulfed in flames.
Fast forward, I had an issue with a clogged pipe connecting my downspout, had to have a French drain installed and decided to do the floors all at once because I use this area of my home to meet clients.
They came today and were gone just like that. Even inspected my chimney

I had a damper issue with my older chimney. A fireplace store had told me it no doubt couldn’t be fixed, but I wanted a second opinion without taking up a professional’s time needlessly. I submitted an email request to Chimney Cricket and Aaron responded promptly. I sent him some photos of it, as best as I was able.
After looking at my photos, he told me that it would no doubt need replaced with an energy top damper due to the rust issue alone. But he said he would be happy to come out and take a look at if when he is in the area.

They were here for 20 minutes. A usual inspection should take at least an hour, I researched this. They Did not do a digital inspection. Told me a digital inspection is $400 and I called another place that does all of that and is only $10 more than chiminey crickets. They are awful. They also only vacuumed out the ashes and didn't do it thoroughly. Just awful. I would not recommend them at all. I'd give them 0 stars if they let me but one since they took the receipt back (which is odd) and gave us our money back. Now I have money for the other place to do it right. Which I have used in the past
