Overdrafts happen, that's why we offer two programs to help you avoid unintentional overdrafts (Overdraft Protection and Courtesy Pay). All you have to do is opt into either program and we'll take care of overdrafts in the future. You can opt into free Overdraft Protection at any time. This will allow us to transfer money from your BHCU share account to avoid overdrafts from check or debit card purchases.
Progress Checking is ideal for members with a less-than-perfect banking history. If you've been denied a checking account in the past, this is the perfect account for you. I have a good and trustworthy account manager that allows me to withdraw my profits anytime I want and I can monitor everything going on in my account when she is busy trading with her expert team and I don't have issues with pending withdrawals. First and foremost, I have always worked with BHCU for loans and consulting. After a recent emotional roller coaster regarding a major home project I would have not been able to survive in my home without them. Not to get in too deep on my story, but my wife and I suffered a catastrophic event to our house that our Insurane would not help with.… Well all I have to say it THANK GOD FOR THE BHCU!!!!! Deposits outside the bank, of course cash sb immediate but you have to watch; sometimes held a day or 'few'.( maybe watching to see if it populates before they accept to your acct?). Most banks dealing with regular disbursements, (direct deposit, SS, Retirement, etc), are in accts the day of, few days before, but rarely here; you have a 50/50 chance and that's padding it.
Although the staff is fairly nice, none are clued in on the operations or system process. Each have their own bit and apparently void

I have been a member of BHCU for over 10 years, but I just recently closed my other checking and savings accounts and now only use BHCU for all of my banking needs. They always provide exceptional service and offer the best rates around. Everyone is always so friendly and they are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have the best financial experience. You never have to wait long to be helped by someone on their team! One of the best banks I’ve banked with in a very long time.
