I'm Dr. Jennifer Warkentin and I specialize in the psychological treatment and assessment of adults and older adults. I often work with clients on a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, managing medical problems, life/role transitions, caregiver stress/burnout, and coping with dementia diagnoses.
I recognize that it takes courage to seek help, and believe that effective therapy starts with a genuine, empathic, and honest relationship built on trust and open communication. I know that it can be scary or intimidating to share certain thoughts or feelings, so I work to create a space that feels safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental.

Services
I provide psychological assessment and testing services for a range of diagnostic or legal issues. I treat problematic behaviors and emotional states that can arise as a result of dementia or other cognitive dysfunction. This includes an assessment of why the behavior(s) are occurring, and a corresponding plan for addressing them.
I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare and most Medicare Advantage plans. Most of my services are covered by insurance, and I notify clients of any potential fees before providing services that are not covered.
Some health plans provide coverage for out-of-network providers, but the amount covered will vary by plan, and you may need to pay for my services up front and get reimbursed from the plan after submitting a claim.I'm glad to discuss these options with you by phone if you have questions. I will offer in-person services again when when the mask mandate for healthcare workers is lifted. I provide staff trainings at facilities throughout the Metro Boston, Metro West and Central Massachusetts.
