Thanksgiving Farm Vineyards & Winery is a Family Owned and Operated Business Dedicated to Grape Growing and Wine Making. All of our Thanksgiving Farm brand wines are made exclusively from grapes grown in the vineyards at Thanksgiving Farm. We produce Thanksgiving Farm brand wines in the fall after harvest.
During the spring, we produce our Towhee brand wines from grapes grown in the southern hemisphere. Thanksgiving Farm is located 20 miles due east of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., on a gentle ridge separating watersheds that drain to the West River and to the Patuxent River. Our winery building houses our wine processing facility, barrel aging room, and wine sales room.

An excellent local vineyard from a couple whose hobby took off. Thanksgiving Farm winery is the oldest vineyard in Anne Arundel County. I found their wines to be enjoyable and smooth. Wine is definitely an individual taste, and this wine is to my taste.
The area was a beautiful spot just off the main road. The owner clearly enjoys the business as she walked us over to a table and spent time chatting with us. All of the staff is friendly and attentive. Had we not been traveling by motorcycle we'd have bought more wine! Definitely plan to come back and bring some friends to try it out.

Great scenery. Great atmosphere. Great people that work there. The wine was good. You must do the wine tasting first. Then pick a bottle that impressed you. You bring your own food if you want. These are not sweet wines. Although the dessert wine is sweet it wasn't bad. I'm not a sweet wine drinker. Right now you must have reservations. We did bring home some wine.

I visited Thanksgiving Farms Winery a part of a wine tour for a bridal shower. The farm was lovely even in the rain. The staff was accommodating and even sat us in a spot away from the wind and rain. They were personable and really gave our group special attention even though they had other customers. They all had smiles on their faces and the wines were delicious. I am looking forward to taking my husband and having a girls wine meet up there in the summer!

Great wines. We bought the tasting kit to go, a six 5 oz bottle take home kit. Comes with a tasting guide and six delicious wines. We enjoyed the four Meritages. We would suggest to the winery to offer a pamphlet or a couple wines on the tasting menu with suggested pairings. The Petit Verdot would go great with a dark chocolate garnache truffle. Once again, excellent wines from a small winery near DC, Annapolis, and Dunkirk. A must-go for your Maryland wine journeys.
