Services
Chris and Jenna were married in 1998 and have both dreamed of their own place since their honeymoon to Santa Catalina Island. They sat at a small cafe off the small sandy beach enjoying savory appetizers and good conversation. That would be the culmination of all their experience and patience. Chef Christopher Rohe started cooking early in Rochester MN and has worked in and around Rochester for 21 years.

My wife and I went to Prescotts Grill tonight and were very disappointed. The entrees were very tasty just as they have always been in the past. Eight days ago we were there and disappointed that the dessert selection was very limited and did not appear fresh, but noticed several pies being displayed. We were told that they were still warm and could not be served until the next day. Tonight, 8 days later the remaining same pies were displayed and potentially available for customers wanting dessert - These desserts have been sitting for 8 days collecting moisture, bacteria and aging. I have been going to Prescotts restaurant for more than a decade now. The food is incredibly well made everytime (cannot recall a bad experience). The atmosphere inside is really nice and Chef Chris and Owner Jenna are very attentive and responsive. The vegetables and herbs are from their garden and taste delicious. The meats are cooked exceptionally well. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of food and service. I think this is easily one of the very best restaurants in the city.

Came here in Feb 2020, returned for 2nd visit on July 29, 2021. Simply outstanding food, even better than I remembered. I had mussels and sausage penne. Both outstanding dishes. The Harvest bread in the bread sampler was so good we bought a loaf to go, Along with a triple berry pie (blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry). I am from the Twin Cities and look forward to coming here again next time I am in Rochester.

Traveling with friends and heading back to La Crosse, stopped in Rochester for dessert and coffee. Stopped at Prescott's and were pleasantly surprised at the assortment of desserts on their menu - all freshly made. Enjoyed the apple pie ala mode with Vanilla Bean ice cream (which was out of this world - made by their chef). Service was excellent and keep our coffee filled. A real enjoyable time. We were so impressed with dessert that we plan on coming back for dinner.

My favorite restaurant in Rochester, in terms of how their food tastes. Their food is so fresh and innovative, like something you would find in California or a bigger city. They grow a lot of it themselves, I believe. Bakery is also amazing. You just can't go wrong, no matter what you order. Some of my favorites are their tomato soup with fresh basil, butternut squash Gnocchi, Lamb rack, duck breast and black and white creme brûlée. Always look forward to eating there and takeout has been super convenient during Covid too!

I have loved dining at Prescott's for many years, and the extremely high quality of their food has never wavered-- even now during COVID 19. Last night we had a wonderful time, ordering the Sonoma chicken (a garlic cream sauce served over pasta, with breaded chicken and champagne grapes) and our favorite creamy chicken basil. (Please never remove that from the menu! I would be in mourning!)
Also followed it up with a pistachio baked Alaska. Love that they have a burger now which offers a slightly lower price point for a more routine evening dinner, and I imagine it's incredibly delicious

PLEASE LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO KEEP THIS PLACE OPEN!! I discovered Prescotts last winter while traveling to Rochester for work - I don't think I'll go anywhere else from now on. I love this place - the specials are so unique and tasty and the bread and desserts are so amazing. Don't bother with the menu- choose one of the daily specials. You can't go wrong. I'm counting on you, Rochester, to keep Prescott's open during this crazy time. They deserve your business!!

Went here for our anniversary and everything went great. Wait staff was friendly and attentive, knowledgeable about the menu. They had locally sourced food and fun unique creations as well as classics. Both meals were tasty and portion size was just perfect. Good wine selection. Definitely get dessert!

Yes!!! -- This seems like it shouldn't be one Rochester's best restaurants. From the outside it looks like a typical strip mall cafe, unassuming.
Walking through the doors you'll realize you're someplace special. This is a great date place!!
The food was awesome. I'm not exaggerating. We've been here a few times and we've had a great experience every time.
But....save room for dessert. The desserts will blow you away.

AMAZING. The best steak I have had this side of the the Rockies. Cooked to perfection. Amazing atmosphere, service was impeccable. Desserts that are homemade, are to die for. Baked Alaska the way it should be. Take home a loaf of one of the many breads. A new favorite here in the world of cookie cutter chains. You won't regret coming here!

The blackboard stated Wagyu Beef so I thought that I would try it out. Asked the waitress if the Wagyu beef was Japanese or American Wagyu. She said American. Thought that the fact that it is American is reflected in the pricing. Four of us at the table ordered the Wagyu beef because it was the special. I had the sausage soup starter and part of the bread basket. Bread was good. Soup had little bits of meat that was hard to find. Seemed like mostly vegetables. Tasted good so no complaints. When our main plates arrived, we were surprised to see the super lean meat presented to us. I ordered my steak

I read the yelp reviews about Prescott's, and finally realized that the menu on their website is only a sampling of what they offer. The real menu had many tasty offerings. I have to be honest, that my first impression upon walking in was that it was an upscale Perkins restaurant. The decor is uninspired and utilitarian. It was packed, and LOUD. Those expecting an intimate romantic experience had better look elsewhere.
That being said, the server was very knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. In a word, she was perfection! The food was delicious. My wife had the Squash gnocchi
