This is the second time I've contracted Pacific West Home Inspection this year. I requested their services again because Scott did such a great job on the last house we considered buying. That house didn't work out however, within a month we found another and once again we received a very comprehensive inspection report. In addition, Scott was very professional, friendly, and thorough. I highly recommend their services.

Scott was super. He was very thorough and respectful of the property. He provided us with an overview at the end of the inspection and then a well laid out report, including the follow up report.
We got great notification of that he was going to arrive. He was prompt and extremely knowledgeable. Definitely, use him again.

Scott was so flexible with our crazy schedule, easy to communicate with, on time, and courteous. During the inspection, he was professional and extremely knowledgeable. Not to mention his inspection report was detailed, unbiased, easy to read through, and available much faster than I expected. He also has great experience with pools, we had a separate pool contractor give us an estimate of the pool repairs required after the general inspection and I was impressed

We bought a newly constructed house in San Clemente, CA. It was hard for us to ensure that construction was up to code without the help of an inspector. We wanted someone local so that he could also point out any adjustments we needed to make for local climatic conditions. We found Scott (owner of Pacific West) on Yelp. He was prompt in responding to our initial inquiry. His fee was reasonable. He was very flexible with dates since we had to work with the builder's schedule. Scott took all Covid related precautions. He explained his findings in detail and provided us a soft copy of his inspection

Called regarding a needed home inspection, spoke with Scott who was very professional and courteous. Answered all questions regarding what was included in the home inspection. I found Scott on Yelp and was a little reluctant to use him for my home inspection for my purchase, he changed that quickly. He was there more than 10 minutes early for our appointment and was already checking meters upon my arrival, he went back and revisited everything he had reviewed before my arrival to be sure I didn't miss anything.
His level of professionalism and his thorough follow ups were above and beyond all expectations and gave us a perfect breakdown of items that needed to be addressed with the seller.

We have purchased and sold many homes and been through many home inspections but we had the best experience in dealing with Pacific West when we sold our home. Scott Mantecon was very thorough and caught many problems that would have escaped the notice of other inspectors. It was a newer home (10 years old) and many would have pre-judged it and assumed that all was well when actually there were many plumbing problems. Scott spent the time looking at EVERYTHING. I've recommended Scott for countless home inspections over the years. He is professional, shows up on time, and extremely thorough.
