First off I assure you this isn't a fake or doing someone a favor or any type of a coached review; as far as our experience with Fox Lumber they've consistently been the best purchase anywhere in the tri-state area.
The moment you arrive at Fox Lumber Clinton NJ there is ample parking, then you enter the facility and you're impressed by the layout, the large selection of building materials and the helpful staff, from Chris the general manager all the way to the last employee out on the yard.

Depends on the day and who's sitting at the counter. Help today didn't know and wasn't interested in finding the appropriate fasteners for joist hangers. Hey guys in back, careful talking about your customers as "d-bag J's" it reflects poorly on the overall image of Fox lumber. Tried to get a Marvin together in 2017, took forever to get back to us, no follow up.

I would recommend stopping here instead of the usual Home Depot or Loews trip, not only because the convenient location right in the heart of Clinton but because of how reliable the staff is! My father buys random stuff here all the time and recently he needed some 2x4's for his barn. Seeing as he is very stubborn and likes things always his way I am so happy with how the staff helped him. Mike Haines was so knowledgeable and helped my father find exactly what he needed. They even were chatting about future plans for the deck! He was so nice and answered every question my father had. We can

Our experience with this company has been horrible. Salesman rarely responds to emails, and phone calls. When there is a problem, they circled the wagons and refused to forward a call to the manager. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told "he is rarely there, after all, he is the owner" Run, run the other way.

Fox Lumber is a real class act! Local company that continues to give back to Scout projects, the Clinton Mill and a slew of charities. The guys inside are very helpful and they go the extra mile handling any requests. Fox continues to reinvest in their facility adding both value to the consumer and the community. Way to go Fox!

Used Fox Lumber for deck project after Hurricane Sandy. Service was great, pricing is better than anyone around (including Lowes or Home Depot), and wood was good quality stuff. I had everything delivered the very next day. Got pressure treated and cedar and received nearly every board in perfect shape with little warping and splitting. Believe me I miscalculated by 3 boards and was finishing up framing on a Sunday (which they are closed) so I took a ride to Lowes to pick out the additional 3 2x10s to finish up the framing. I had to go thru 20 boards until I found 3 suitable for my deck.
