Hired Mr. Loredo to install a canopy per engineering and architectural drawings. His bid was higher than others but I went with him as he had good reviews online and said he could get the work started and finished in a week’s time. He started work only several weeks later. Then quickly stopped work accusing the design to be unstable. The engineer was brought out to site and reassured the design was fine and would be more stable when completed. The engineer further suggested to add some hurricane brackets to increase stability. Mr. Loredo saw this as a change order opportunity and asked +$500
