My father has been a patient of Dr. Oscar Vazquez for over a year while suffering with pain in his knees. I was completely impressed when Dr. Vazquez returned my call at 7 am, prior to going to surgery, to address my father's concern on prescribed medicine. Proper patient care exceeded my expectations and I am so happy to know my father is handled by the best care provided by the Active Orthopedics team.

One of worst staffs I have ever encountered. I saw reviews posted but it can't be the same place!! Dr. Mendoza was a good doctor and easy to communicate with. Unfortunately the staff is so badly organized that its a nightmare and the stress of dealing with the staff assures I won't be back. If you are there for a non-accident issue-your better off going somewhere else. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Active Orthopedics is a great team of Doctors and Support Staff. Dr. Vasquez is great! He and other doctors there have improved my quality of life over the years to allow me to continue being active in sports & day to day activities. Dr. Vazquez has treated my arthritic knee for over a year. He listens attentively and has prescribed effective remedies for my condition. Sunday I visited Hackensack Hospital ER for an unrelated problem. My CT scan was not completed until after 11PM and the attending resident advised that, while my initial complaint had been favorably resolved, the scan revealed a “small abscess” that would require immediate admission. They asked me if I had an orthopedic surgeon...I replied Dr. Vazquez. She contacted Dr. Vazquez who told her he did not think it was necessary to admit me.. I could see him in

Dr. John replaced my knee in July 2020. The surgery was very successful. I had an extremely quick recovery with a minimum amount of pain. Dr. John and his team of assistants are extremely efficient and very professional. The wait time in the office is very short. Without hesitation, I am planning to have a second knee replacement in January of 2021. I would highly recommend Dr. John based on my excellence experience and great results from the operation.

Dr Vazquez is an intuitive and highly perceptive sports doctor, and surgeon, who understands how the body is impacted by athletic and everyday activities. He quickly evaluated the severe pains and issues I was experiencing in my hips and prescribed a plan to help me move forward. The road to full recovery takes time, but every step has been guided by Dr Vazquez experience and I’m very pleased with how things are developing. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

I went to Active Orthopedic for a knee issue, I went to the urgent Ortho part of the office. The office staff was both friendly and efficient, and I was seen right away. Dr Gross explained my knee issue and we agreed on surgery. I also want to mention that Katie his PA is also very good as is Dr Gross. I had a previous knee issue a few years back however, another facility took care of me and they were horrible.

I was extremely pleased with this provider, the wait time was excellent, I have been to other Orthopedic practices where the wait time to be seen was in excess of an hour, here it was approximately 15 minutes. Dr Michael was knowledgeable and professional. Everything was explained in a clear way, X-rays were taken and I received a cortisone shot in my knee. This morning I was pain free. I would highly recommend this practice.
