I hired Gitlin Law Firm because I'd read that Gunnar Gitlin was an awesome family divorce attorney that literally wrote a book on family law and divorce. I was paired with his partner, Stephanie, but was assured they worked together and I felt good about that decision. I had a fairly cut and dry divorce (splitting of debt, assets, child custody agreement details). I asked Stephanie during my consult how much she anticipated my divorce costing, to which she couldn't even give me a general amount (I get it, things come up that add to the cost. Fair). Retained this agency and was told my retainer would be used in the most cost efficient way. It most definitely was not. Was NEVER sent paperwork that was charged for, and when Stephanie refused to serve she listed an email address NOT EVEN REGISTERED and the defendants name was incorrect on the court papers. I received debt collector and court appearance papers AGAINST ME (who hired) faster than the papers NEVER received to help my case. Told this woman my wrk hours and she set times that did not work for response and she closed my case prior to her "End of day deadline". Total scam,
