At iQ, we practice Gracie Jiu-Jitsu as a complete system of self defense, addressing each of the 5 Pillars of the Art. Understand how to use a variety of strikes in a strategic and defensive capacity, cultivating a deep awareness of punch protection.

In each class the student will learn simple, practical principles and techniques of self defense that will empower them and their children.
Royce Gracie is the sixth son of Grand Master Helio Gracie. He received his blue belt at age 16 and was promoted to black belt in less than two years. Royce moved to the United States at age 18 to live with his brother, Rorion, and quickly adapted to the schedule of teaching private classes out of their garage, sometimes for more than ten hours a day.

I've been at the academy for nearly 9 years now, and I am confident in saying that it is like a second home and a whole other family. The instructors are absolutely incredible, the other students are awesome, and if I were forced to leave I would absolutely cry. I always wanted a big brother, and now in the adults program, I have a whole class full of brothers, including my best friend. The teaching is marvelous and it gives me confidence, knowing I have those I can trust and look to for guidance, and knowing that I have been given the knowledge and ability to defend myself and those I care for

My kids and I have only been able to train at IQ athletics 4 times. However, every time it was an exceptional experience. I was simply a visitor, but they looked after me like I had trained there forever. The room is filled with lots of quality Jiu Jitsu experience as well. Training there is like training with a room full of instructors. Anxious to get back when we can.
