In 1987, Dr. John L. Kinsley continued a tradition by joining the family dental practice. It was founded by his grandfather, Dr. Leon J. Kinsley in 1919 on Clark Avenue in Cleveland. His father, Dr. Leon D. (Bud) Kinsley, joined the practice in 1960. Two years later, the practice was moved to Rocky River, to the spot where it stands today at 19433 Detroit Road.
Dr. John L. Kinsley, now the sole owner of the practice, has completely remodeled the building, and it's now a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility, as well as a comfortable and user friendly practice. In 1992, at the urging of his father, Dr. Kinsley started down a unique path of extensive continuing education, having studied and trained at The L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida.

The profession of dentistry has been a tradition in our family for over 90 years. In 1919, Dr. Leon J. Kinsley began our family practice in Cleveland, Ohio where it blossomed into a thriving business. His son, Dr. Leon D. (Bud) Kinsley, joined the practice in 1960 and helped transition the business to our current residence at 19433 Detroit Road in Rocky River, Ohio.
Dr. Kinsley continues the legacy of comprehensive oral health care laid out by his grandfather, who founded the practice nearly a century ago, in 1919. Dr. Kinsley completed his training in Florida at The L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in 1992.
Seven years later, he continued his education at The Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Study where he gained valuable experience and understanding of restorative dentistry and non-surgical TMJ therapy.The proficiency he gained from these two major institutions has helped shape the philosophy of care he applies today.

Dr. Kinsley has a way of making patients enjoy going to the dentist! The care and concern he gave to my son was first-class. The service he performed was paramount! I don't know any 12 year old who smiles when the dentist is mentioned. When "Dr. John" is mentioned, my son smiles from ear to ear. Dr. Kinsley is the greatest dentist I have ever known. Rocky River is lucky to have this treasure!

Dr. Kinsley and his team took the time to effectively explain the proper techniques for good dental hygiene- something that isn’t taught very often. Additionally, Dr. Kinsley devised a mitigation plan to prevent further wear and tear on my natural teeth. Very kind, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Happy to be a part of their practice!

Dr. Kinsley's office is fantastic for any of your tooth needs. I have gotten multiple cleanings here. Each cleaning was more thorough than any others I have had. Dr. Kinsley also did a reconstruction on my front 12 teeth (6 on the top; 6 on the bottom). I find my teeth really badly and had grinded them down so much you could see the enamel. When I smiled, you could barely see my teeth and they were not even. I two appointments he was able to give me back my perfect smile. He closed my gaps, straightened the teeth and made them longer. In my 34 years as of writing this review, I have never been treated by any doctor as compassionately as I have by Dr. John Kinsley. 90% of the time, visiting the doctor feels rushed, and often seems like the Dr. has better things to do. Dr. Kinsley truly took the time to make sure I understood the implications of my dental health and proper technique, even expounding at times where I wouldn't have expected it just to make extra sure I was comfortable and well informed.
