Services
Turner Upholstery was founded in 1935 by Byron Turner who operated the business as an auto trim shop until 1941. At that time, America had entered World War II so Byron made a decision to reconfigure his fabric shop to contribute to the war effort. Byron made adjustments in his shop so that he could produce pup tents to be used by American soldiers serving in the war.

Called Turner with a predicament involving a VERY ill-fitting boat cover. Took the cover and boat to Turner on a Wednesday and quickly received a call that it will be significantly more involved than they or I had anticipated. They understood I needed the cover quickly to keep my boat clean and undamaged from severe weather. They did an excellent job and ensured the cover won't retain water, which can be a big task on a direct drive boat. Boat was done on Friday I'm more than satisfied with the work that was done. I called 5 different places in the KC area to get a quote for a convertible top replacement. Turner Custom Upholstery's price for labor + parts was very competitive, but they were one of two that would do labor only (i.e. bring your own parts). They quoted me several hundred dollars lower than the other company for labor, and were very competitive with the prices people from other areas reported on reddit. Do yourself a favor and look around for tops on amazon and save a few hundred bucks.

I went to Turner Custom Upholstery with an idea and vision of a custom Firefighter flag tribute for my engine cover for my boat. Josh and Zach listened to my idea, helped me with my design. They spent a great deal of time with me picking fabric colors to get exactly what I wanted. The finished product far exceeds my expectations!!! I have received so many compliments on their work. I have a 2007 Jetta that’s had the headliner falling in for months and it just kept getting worse to the point I couldn’t see out the back window anymore.
The phone service was great and they explained everything I needed to know while booking the appointment a couple weeks out. They have tons of fabric so I didn’t need to bring it in ahead of time, just dropped it off at 8am and they perfectly matched it and had it done by 5pm the same day. The installation looks like it’s brand new and the guys were all very friendly.

I recently had my boat reupholstered at Turner and I was very pleased with the whole experience. Barb did a fantastic job at understanding my expectations and keeping me up to date on the project. The techs did a good job at showing me minor flaws the boat had from the factory that would prevent them from perfection. They did one seat to be sure I was happy with the material I picked out. I decided I did not like one of the colors and had them redo it. I offered to pay for their time and material, but they did not charge me. They were able to store my boat inside during the whole process, and got

My seat in my jeep was torn open and stapled back together by previous owner. I had two options get new upholstery in my seat or have it stitched back up but the holes would still be there from the staples. I told them to just stitch it due to my budget that was the cheaper option. When I went to pick up my jeep the gentleman there went ahead and put new upholstery on my seat, it looks like a brand new seat they did an amazing job and charged me the cheaper rate. I would highly recommend them, they take good care of their customers I will come back in the future and recommend to others. Truly thankful

My experience with Turner Custom Upholstery was great. I was looking to get new boat carpet and didn't have old carpet to make a pattern from. They not only helped me make sure the template was properly cut and made, but Barb's communication through the process with the manufacture was great and reassuring. I got my carpet back in a few weeks and it looks great! I also had them repair a few holes (from mice) in my Bimini top. The fix looks like it will more than hold and I'll have no problem going across the lake this summer.
