Society Hill Abstract is a licensed title insurance agency and real estate settlement services provider, offering insurance and settlement services for over 20 years. We're located just outside of Philadelphia, in Narberth, PA. For the convenience of our clients, we have access to a number of offices throughout the region and also offer in-home appointments.

Society Hill Abstract provides clients with all of the settlement services that are required to ensure that real estate transaction are completed efficiently.

Once a contract is signed, Society Hill arranges the title search; collaborates with county and city offices to guarantee that all tax, water and other utilities that might impact the title are cleared; and communicates with lenders to ensure that documents and funding are delivered accurately and on time for closing.
1. Contact the lender and exchange all necessary information regarding your loan. 2. Order the title search on the property. 3. Contact seller's or your current lending institution and order a payoff on the current mortgage. 4. Contact the Homeowner's Association to verify that the fees are current and determine the proration split between parties.
Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code provides that no gain or loss shall be recognized on the exchange of property held for productive use in a trade or business or for investment if such property is exchanged for property of like-kind to be used either for productive use in a trade or business or for investment.
