Sandi has been in the title insurance industry since the days of type-written title commitments and pencil and adding-machine tape HUD-1 settlement statements. Dedicated to her customer's convenience and her staff's productivity, Sandi embraced technology, becoming one of the first settlement agents to have a truly "mobile" office, using lap-top computers and portable ink-jet printers before they became the norm.
The Abstract Company was established with a home office in Philadelphia, PA and an auxiliary office in Voorhees, NJ, more than 20 years ago. Quality services, expedient delivery, fair pricing has been the rule at The Abstract Company since inception. Recently, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or HUD enacted new rules for mortgage lenders and title insurance companies to help YOU, the consumer, better understand the lending process and the fees you pay at closing. Within 3 business days of your mortgage application, your lender must deliver to you a Good Faith Estimate or GFE.
A Title is the evidence, or proof, that a person and/or entity like a corporation or partnership owns and/or possesses a particular piece of land. Proof of ownership is established by tracing the history of ownership of the property by documents recorded in the public records of the county in which the property lies, called the Chain of Title.
