In the event of an emergency, JL Tree Service Inc offers 24 hour emergency tree service for storm damage. Storms are a common occurrence in Northern VA. Trees can and do fall onto structures. When strong winds come along with wet saturated grounds, then trees are bound to fall over. Uprooted trees can cause serious damage.
JL Tree Service specializes in providing outstanding tree removal service for our customers. Fairfax VA and the surrounding areas have many trees. When we assess our customers trees, we share the common goal of caring for healthy trees. We do not like to recommend taking a tree down unless it is absolutely necessary.
There are ANSI A300 industry standards for tree pruning. JL Tree Service Inc's estimators can provide recommendations based on the specific tree needs for our customers. Every tree is different and the goals for each customer and their trees vary. An arborists job is to focus on the care and management of trees in urban forestry.

We worked with JL Tree Service for the removal of a HUGE (and sadly, dying) tulip poplar in our backyard. From the first time they came out to provide an estimate to the time they pulled away with the last of the tree trunk, they were professional and helpful. The quote they provided was very reasonable - consistent with or lower than other quotes we received.

We had a massive oak tree fall in our backyard in Takoma Park after a flash storm. The tree was held up precariously by another tree. JL Tree Service handled the job and were total pros: responsive, expert, diligent, safe. The clean-up was phenomenal too. Reasonable price. Highly recommend them.

Found these guys from their great google reviews and free estimates. They came out promptly to provide an opinion on my tree, made the arborist available to help me through the tree removal permitting process free of charge and before I committed to their proposal, and then when they came out for the job they were punctual and managed to leave the job site cleaner than they found it. Haven’t found a pinch of sawdust anywhere. Also was the lowest price I received. All in all really great experience.

We had a lovely, huge, 60-70 year old American Elm that was mortally damaged by the Arlington tornado of July, 1st 2021. We had several arborists come to see if it could be cable and braced, but they all agreed that the corkscrew effect of the winds had cracked the tree too severely and it was now a danger. They also recommended JL to do the work. Julio came out at 7:45 on Friday evening to our home in Lyon Village after a long day of cutting down other trees, and he gave me a VERY FAIR price. On Monday, his crew arrived at 7:30 am sharp and seven hours later the tree was gone and the yard cleaned

They did a good job of bringing my 70 foot tree down and cleaning up. There was a miscommunication between myself and a crew member related to the clean up. The general manager called me, apologized for the miscommunication, gave me a discount that I did not ask for, and made things right.

They came out two years ago and did a great job trimming 5-6 trees on my lot so I call them again. Peter came out and gave a very detailed - and honest - assessment of what I needed. I'm sure he could have upsold a lot of services I didn't need (like at least one company I obtained a quote from) but recommended that I do minor trimming myself on two trees to save money and to call him back out 2 years from now for major trimming. Appreciated his expertise and honesty.

JL Tree Services is a great company. They prune and trim large and small branches from multiple trees very efficiently and quickly. They came with a crane like truck and use the truck to prune large branches. At the same time a guy climbed up another tree with a chainsaw and prune branches. After all pruning and trimming were done, another truck with a catching arm came and take all branches away from my yard. Beautiful clean up was also done efficiently. Price was reasonable, too. I am very satisfied with their work and definitely haute them again when needed.

Great service and actually lowest estimate as well, highly recommended. They came out and gave a free estimate, also I didnt have to pay until after the work was completed. They also don't charge an extra 3% fee like other tree services companies which makes a big difference as well.
I had my 3+ story tree removed and had the stump / roots removed as well. They also back filled and leveled the area which i needed for my HOA. JL Tree Service Rocks!! I have used JL for many projects in the past.But yesterdays was by far the most challenging! A massive White Oak with a very precariously leaning leader tree!.In a very difficult spot effecting 3 familes fences,sheds and homes.All done in the rain.The job involved rope work of massive 500-2000 pound limbs and removal by crane of many 2000-5000 pound logs over my house into the darkness! I simply can't say enough good things about the work the guys did! Amazing does not do it justice! Thanks to all the folks at JL! Merry Christmas!!

Excellent work! JL Tree service gave me a professional free estimate to prune our trees and remove a large tree. Their pricing was very competitive, and in fact beat all the other estimates I received with their winter discount applied. They called me to offer to come one day and it all worked well. Franklin did a beautiful job pruning the trees (see the before and after photos). They put ramps down to protect our lawn. Their truck came to remove all the tree logs the very next day. We are waiting for the stump removal crew to come this week, but I expect they will do as wonderful a job as Franklin
