Advanced placement offered in Math, English, Computer Science, World Language, Science, Social Studies, and Art. Languages offered: French, Spanish, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, and online studies in American Sign Language. Bishop Feehan established thirty-six parishes and was especially devoted to children, giving much attention to the child care institutions of the diocese.
The second of four regional Catholic high schools constructed in the Diocese of Fall River, Bishop Feehan High School opened its doors in the Fall of 1961. Bishop Feehan, a Roman Catholic institution, was founded to form a partnership with the families of the Attleboro area in educating teenagers in the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Church.
But those 186 freshmen also sat in front of six Sisters of Mercy who - despite the hardships - had no doubt about their mission and the importance of this new school for the Attleboro area. And they sat in a building that was willed into existence by local families who believed deeply that a Catholic high school in Attleboro would change lives.
