The Stanwood Area Federal Credit Union traces its roots back to 1940. The credit union has continued to thrive over the years through the efforts of many non-paid volunteers who have been dedicated to the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People". Today we service the personal financial needs of over 2,400 members with assets totaling over $16 million.
Direct Deposit is Fast, Free and most of all Safe. When you authorize Direct Deposit of your paycheck or Social Security check, you eliminate the problems caused by stolen, lost or mutilated checks. Stanwood Area FCU will issue Mid Atlantic Corporate FCU Money Orders to our members during normal business hours.

I have been a member of the credit union for as long as I can remember. My immediate family members use them as well. I have always found the employees to be warm, welcoming, and always helpful, I also like the more personal service rather than feeling like a number at a bank. Keep up the good work!

For two months they did not send statements. Neither was I able to access my account online due to complications with their web site. Owing to this my account became overdrawn for the first and only time in 20 years of doing business with them. For a lousy $20 overdraft they fined $30 and refused to forgive it.
