Artistic Desserts is a family-run business and was created in 2003 by Executive Pastry Chef Michael Markwitz. At a young age Michael was surrounded by talented family training. His grandfather was an established baker along with many other family members who had their hands in flour. Not knowing if he should follow his grandfathers' footsteps, Michael attended college and studied art, music and computer science.
Priced from $8.00/ person and up. Cakes have choice of any combination of cake flavors and fillings.* Cakes are custom created at various levels from classical, whimsical to ornately designed. Decorated to your specifications using rolled fondant, marzipan, chocolate and or sugar. Prices increase with the complexity of design and materials used.
We are your wedding cake and dessert experts for Baltimore, Maryland. The beauty of Artistic Desserts designing a unique cake or dessert for you is creating the dream you have and making it a "reality". Your ideas and dreams are important to us in creating the cake and/or dessert that you desire. Before your cake consultation, I suggest that you start thinking of cake shapes, colors, and themes for the cake and/or dessert.
If you have already been to a cake consultation and needed more time to decide on a cake design, we can schedule a web meeting to finalize your design details. Another service offered by Artistic Desserts to serve you is that, we offer drop off cake samples to your place of work or home so that you may sample and experience them on your own time.
