Dr. Tamatha S. Bowes, DMD joined Penn's Commons Family in May of 2016 and is committed to providing patients with the highest level of care. Dr. Bowes (Tammy) received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) with high honors from Temple University's Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry. Additionally, she was inducted into the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society.
I joined Penn's Commons Dental Group in 1981 and worked with Dr. Schmoyer for 2 years as his dental assistant. I then decided to further my education by pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in dental hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University. After graduation in 1985, I worked as a dental hygienist in Philadelphia before deciding to return to PCDG in 1987.
At Penn's Common Dental Group, our dental assistants are highly qualified and provide excellent care. As Berks County native, I was born and raised in West Reading and graduated from Wyomissing Area High School. I attended Northampton Community College's Dental Assisting program and received my CDA in 1997.
I am originally from Lancaster County and that is where I began my career in dentistry. I graduated from Cocalico High School and from the National School of Health Technology in Philadelphia as a certified dental assistant. After moving to Berks County I joined the team at Penn's Commons Dental Group in 1989 and worked as a chair side assistant with Dr. Schmoyer and Dr. Greenlee.

These women are very rude ! Specifically Ruth and Renee they are very rude speak with extreme attitude and Ruth even hung up the phone on me simply because I asked about which insurance they accept. I didn’t even go as far as scheduling an appointment don’t wanna even deal with them in person if they’re gonna act that way on the phone ! Smh

I went here all throughout my childhood... but took a little hiatus after becoming an adult. today i went back after almost 10 years and i was welcomed back with such genuine enthusiasm and kindness- really felt like a part of their family. highly recommended and I'm actually really looking forward to my next visit. thank you guys so much!

I have been going here since I was a kid. I moved to Philly 5 years ago and could not find a quality dentist in the area. I finally went back to Penns Common and they welcomed me back happily! It felt so good to be at a place I trust. I make the drive from Philly for my appointments so I think that says a lot about them! Everyone is amazing here....the front desk staff, dental hygienists, Dr. Greenlee, etc.!

Dr. Greenlee and his staff are incredible. The knowledge they bring to the table, the friendly staff and years of experience are topped by no other dentist office I have ever been too. My wife and all three of my boys have been with this practice for 15 years! We drive 45 minutes one way to see they because they are so good.

I have always found that the organization of this group to be outstanding. From the multiple reminders of appointments to the on time nature of your appointment they have never disappointed. The dentist professionals always explain the procedures in detail to put your mind at ease. The pain free procedures are modern and a pleasant experience. I would like to give this group two thumbs up !

In the mist of the world’s craziness, I had a dental emergency. From the time I called yesterday to getting it fixed today everyone was caring and professional. Measures were taken to keep everyone safe. They made you feel very comfortable. The office is always spotless but they made sure extra measures were taken. Thank you

Penn's Commons has been my dentist since I'm a little girl. They have ALWAYS been extremely patient and caring. This time I was there for an emergency cavity. I was in and out in less than an hour. I cannot express enough how much I love this place. They are always ALWAYS so kind and welcoming. Keep up the wonderful work! Side note- this place makes you feel like family. I'll never ever forget seeing Dr. Schmoyer at my mother's funeral. It meant so much to me to see him there. The staff truly do care about you. I never want to go anywhere else.

This dentist office is by far the best dentist in the Berks County area. I say this bc they are state of the art dental service with up to date knowledge and experience.They have been in business for long time and continue to stay on top of the latest dental techniques The staff is highly trained and professional followed by kindness and friendliness. I think they are a hidden gem. I would recommend this dental office to everybody. They will work with you to make your visit as pain free and comfortable which is a big reason why people are afraid of going to a dentist. Take my word for it, I guarantee
