Dr. Wendy Winckelbach grew up in the Greenwood area and is a graduate of Center Gove High School. She completed her undergraduate training at Indiana University with a degree in Chemistry. She received her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College of Chicago, Illinois in 2001. While a student, Dr. Winckelbach was awarded an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship in 1998.

Dr. Wendy Winckelbach saved Christmas! My 11 year son fractured his foot in three places, requiring surgery two days before Christmas. Southside Foot Clinic was able to get me in right away and they were OVER THE TOP kind, thoughtful, caring during the craziest, stressful time of year. What could have been an absolute disaster of a Christmas turned out to be a reminder of what is important. A healthy family, wonderful friends, and the means to get great health care. My mom had to have a good portion of her left foot amputated. Dr Carroll and his staff were beyond amazing! My mom had several set backs and weird things happen. Dr Carroll always worked very hard to figure out the best approach to deal with the issues. Thank you for making my mom and dad feel more comfortable about a serious situation .

Dr. Winckelbach and her entire staff are beyond wonderful!! Dr. Winckelbach is literally one of the most kind, caring and wonderful surgeons I've ever met. During the course of recovery from 2 different foot surgeries, I had to reach out to her after hours and within minutes she was contacting me to help me. Her level of care and patient concern far exceeds other surgeons! I was referred to her by 2 different friends who are surgical nurses and they said they wouldn't go to anyone else - BEST advice I've been given and I am very thankful to have found her.

My daughter and I are both being treated for separate issues at this clinic. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and responsive to all of my questions and/or concerns. The doctor and his assistants have provided the best in care on every appointment. I'm impressed most by Dr. Carroll's thoroughness in making sure you understand the anatomy of the foot, the current condition, and lastly the treatment that is recommended and why. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of foot care.
