The Coop
The Coop was opened 17 years ago, originally it started at Deb Guffre's garage, who had a passion and love for antiques, this past November we celebrated our 5th anniversary since I purchased the store from Deb, we remain the only shop to carry vintage and antique furnishings, as well as gifts.

There is a thrill and excitement at finding beautiful things, its a great day when I get to go to a private sale all by myself and hear the stories behind where this dresser or that table came from, who is in that painting, or that I am in a house of an artist who's great grand father was of the Hudson Valley School of Painters.

I just love this little shop. There are so many unique items and treasures to find. There are decorative items, art work, children's clothing and toys, bath products, and home wares. I really appreciate that the owner stocks many items which are made in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Buying Fair-trade is important to me. I want to buy items from countries that have product safety standards plus have labor standards. I really loved how most of the items I picked up weren't made in China. The shop is beautifully decorated. I ended up buying some bath sugar scrubs and some Fair-trade socks

What a great little find! I've gotten a few terrific pieces for my home in addition to some handmade earrings that i love. I stop by every time I go to the coffee shop next door!
