Peace Corps Volunteer (Health Educator and Guinea Worm Eradication) in Niger, West Africa: 1996 - 1998. My mother and father were/are still who inspire me the most. My mom was way ahead of her time as a woman in the south and my dad is the reason I'm an OB/Gyn. There are still people who lament his retirement from OB/Gyn in my hometown.
Dr. Hawes helps offer the latest technologies in the office and at the hospital and specializes in minimally invasive procedures that allow patients to return to full activity sooner with less pain. Dr. Hawes is a wonderful doctor. When I am recommending him and this practice to others I always say he is the smartest doctor I have. He always asks about my overall health and will literally look into any issues I’ve been having that haven’t been addressed by my other doctors. I recently had some wonky blood work that wasn’t adequately explained by another provider and when I went in Dr. Hawes addressed it. That is above and beyond. Also, I just had my first mammogram and it went way better than I expected. The technician was friendly and made me very comfortable.

So thankful for the amazing Dr.Hunt and the whole Asheville Women’s team. I’ve been a patient for 20 yrs and always feel supported, and cared for at each visit and never feel rushed or hurried through concerns or questions. I also love they have imaging abilities all in the same building, no need for multiple locations for total care experience. Thank you Asheville Women’s!!

I have been a patient at Asheville Women's Center for a couple of decades. The care under Dr. Michelle Simmons has been consistently through, and she patiently and respectfully answers any questions I have. She has been great to work with me as an older patient the last few years, and directly addresses my health concerns with further testing. I would recommend Dr. Simmons to a woman of any age, but she has especially been supportive of me as I've gone through challenges during my 50 and over years. It's reassuring to find a doctor without the prevalent ageism attitude that I have experienced with

I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to take a minute to say that Asheville Women's Medical Center is awesome! I started at the center when I became pregnant earlier this year and the doctors, nurses and front office staff have all been so consistently kind and helpful. Dr. Wright delivered my baby and he was supportive, considerate and professional during and after the birth. I went back recently for birth control and he completed the placement of my IUD and made it a near painless experience for me. I highly recommend you come here for your OB needs.

I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and how kind they are. I have been receiving care from this practice for many years and always feel good about the care I received. Recently I got to meet a lot of the staff with our pregnancy. Dr.Wright and Dr.Goodwin are my favorites. The information they gave me was honest and thorough. They both make you feel like family, don’t make you feel like you’re wasting their time, and followed up on my care. Our new little family will continue to grow with this wonderful group of nurses and doctors.

I had a terrifying experience after I gave birth to my daughter that could have been 100% prevented if Asheville Women's would have listened to me, and not placated me, and told me "Go home and get some rest". I called the emergency line 4 times with my symptoms of pain, and convulsion/ seizure episodes, and was told that it sounded like I was having a "Hot flash" and normal postpartum. I wanted to see a doctor, and after 9 months of going to the practice they could not get me in to see a doctor for days. I finally was able to go to the outpatient clinic at hospital, and

I have been a patient of Dr. Hunt's for 5 years now. I have had several medical issues and she has been absolutely fantastic. She is extremely thorough and always takes time to answer any questions and to find out what's been going on in my life. I have complete trust in her and cannot imagine the last 5 years without her as my doctor.

I just went here today as a new patient, and first thing the lady at the front desk (blond bob haircut) was rude and cold. She didn't greet me and just asked for my name like a calculated robot. She the. Proceeded to hound me and belittle me about having a card on file. She basically explained they are about the money. Really?? To where I responded that it clearly isn't about the true care of the patient and their wellbeing, and sat down. She is a terrible free my desk coordinator. She seems better fit for the DMV with her attitude.
Then I saw Dr. Jeffries who was super late. The first

I honestly can't say enough good things about Dr. Kurtz- she is the best!! She has excellent bedside manner, and I never felt uncomfortable in her office. Although the wait time to see her has been as long as an hour, I think it's worth it to receive the best care. I recently moved away, and I hope I can find a doctor like Dr. Kurtz here.

Had a very unpleasant experience this morning with Asheville Women's Medical Center in Arden. I had used their online appointment request and was told I would be contacted in 24-28 hours. Instead I was contacted four business days later, this should have been a sign of things to come but I had a limited availability for appointments and the one I was offered fit my schedule. When I showed up this morning the staff told me that I was not on their appointment list for the day. When they looked up my information I was scheduled for an appointment three weeks later and they suggested that maybe
