Welcome to Asheville Children's Medical Center, where our focus remains on you and your child. We are a pediatric physicians' group providing children and adolecents with expert medical care in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Asheville Children's Medical Center has been dedicated to providing children with the best care available since 1968, when Dr. Harold D. Schutte founded the practice in an office near Mission/St.
Our regular business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. During this time we are here to meet your needs for well-child check-ups as well as sick or problem visits. Our evening hours are designed to make it simpler and faster to have your child seen for sick or urgent visits.
Our Insurance and Billing Department is available to assist you with any questions that you have regarding insurance and billing questions Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. Asheville Children's Medical Center accepts most major insurance including Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare and North Carolina Medicaid.
We are excited that you have chosen Asheville Children's Medical Center for all of your child's health care needs! On your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes early. You will be greeted by our friendly front desk associates who will make you feel comfortable as they begin the registration process.

I have an 18teen year old 16teen and 15teen year old and they all went here as children and I Absolutely loved them and would've Recommended any parents to take their child there! My little surprise baby god blessed me with 21 months ago I knew who his Pediatrician was going well there NOTHING like THEY WERE YEARS AGO!! And I'm finding my child another dr as we speak

We used this doctor's office for over 6 years with our 3 kids. We moved to Pittsburgh and had to find a new provider. Our primary doctors were Dr. Fogelman for our daughter and Dr. Kohn for our sons. I can't speak highly enough about either of them. Amazing bedside manner, great with the kids, extremely knowledgeable and parents themselves so they could relate and often give personal anecdotes on most topics we discussed. They were so encouraging to us as parents to help us be positive about the jobs we were doing and guiding us to make good decisions. I've had a few recent encounters with Dr.

Our experience here was AMAZING. We were visiting on vacation and my son had a bad rash so we took him here, and Dr. Cone was unbelievable! The FIRST doctor I’ve ever met to actually care about his patients and really interact with the kids and establish a great environment for families. Anyone who’s looking for the best care... This place had been great for our family until a really horrible recent visit with our sick child, who was turned away and later diagnosed with acute respiratory infection by a Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care.
We had taken both our children here for the first two years of their lives and had great experiences with the doctors. We were very aware of the new "late policy" and how they would no longer be honoring appointments that arrive ten minutes late.
