Set on more than 14 acres of beautiful vineyards, Layton's Chance has a variety of great wines, a large picnic area with outdoor games, a nature trail, and a friendly staff that can't wait to greet you! Nestled down a long country lane lies Layton's Chance Vineyard and Winery. The Tasting Room is set on the farm owned by the Layton Family since 1948. Founded in 2010, Layton's Chance has made its place on the Maryland Eastern Shore by developing unpretentious wines and creating an inviting winery experience.
Our staff is committed to making the most of your experience, whether on our property or serving our wine at your home. Join us any day - in the Tasting Room, at a festival or at any of our many events to meet some of our staff. Whether you strike up a conversation at the bar or stop a farm hand in the parking lot, we are always ready to share a story and invite you into our family!
There's a motto that hangs above our bar: "We work like crazy so our guests can be lazy!" has been a guiding principal of our winery. We want you to come to us, relax and enjoy our wines. And when you are home, we hope all our hard work pays off when you pour a glass for guests and for yourself. Our wines range from sweet to dry, traditional to fruit-based.
Membership to our Gold Leaf Club is packed with benefits, starting with a shipment of two bottles of wine each quarter. Each selection is handpicked by the Winemaker, and often includes a pre-release bottle or a favored reserve. No matter the choice, the cost of every bottle is discounted 15% from retail.

What a lovely place to spend an afternoon! Indoor and outdoor seating with a peaceful veiw of the vineyards set in rural Maryland. The tasting menus are well thought out and are sure to please both experienced and novice tasters. The gift shop features reasonably priced offerings with seasonal flair. Well equipped to handle a simple date or larger parties for tastings. Can't wait to return!
