It's about the ideals and values 'summer camp' stands for - a place of youth, innocence and discovery, real and intense emotions, immersion in Nature, exhilarating experiences.
Services
Our staff are what make camp so special! We hire college-age and older counselors dedicated to creating a great experience for the entire camp community. Tommy knew from an early age that camp was his life's work! After many summers attending and then directing camps in Wisconsin and Colorado, Tommy started Mountain Day Camp in 2005, which evolved into Camp Granite Lake.
Our programs place an emphasis on choice, and give campers the opportunity to try out many different activities in a supportive, non-competitive, and "un-plugged" environment. Campers choose their own programs! It's a fun and collaborative process, that allows campers to ask questions, and decide for themselves if the activity is the right fit for them.
Note: Our focus on preventing child sexual abuse continues to stay front-of-mind for us, even as this letter is a few years old. The story ends with the featured mother of the article saying that she still sends her kids to camps, she just does work to check that the camp is doing the right things to prevent sexual abuse of children.

Absolutely Amazing! Beautiful! The staff was super fun, energetic! The food was yummy and the inspirational quote before we ate was my food for thought for the day. The activities were fun, just being there with family and friends, AMAZING, Family Camp 2017, Thank you Camp Granite Lake! See you next year, I can't wait till Jax is old enough for camp, the best experience for kids! Growing up with the camp experience, The best experience ever!

The Camp granite lake experience was to die for. The people there are amazing, the experiences are incredible especially for people who don't necessarily grow up on he water. The best quality this camp has are the people, every one is so nice, respectful, caring, and hilarious. I still want to thank my councilors Ryan jay and adam for being awesome kind and great people to hang out with.
