We loaned money to a business several years ago and then the business and the owner filed for bankruptcy. Our collateral was personal property, and we were sure the business got rid of it and we would be unsecured, and lose the full amount of our loan. We hired this lawyer and he was great. The bankruptcy trustee tried to disallow our security interest, and we proved that the debtor still had it and we were fully secured. Not only did we get paid in full but we got interest too, even the interest that accumulated during the bankruptcy case. It is the best result we ever got on one of our loans
