TRJ Environmental is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, within 20 minutes of the principal U.S. EPA offices responsible for air pollution regulation and research. TRJ Environmental has access to the library facilities and research staff of three major universities Duke University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and N.C.

State University and the scientific community of the Research Triangle Park. TRJ maintains an NTIS Account for accessing the U.S. EPA's main-frame computer facilities at NCC, and our analysts are experienced in the use of the Aerometric Information Retrieval System (AIRS), the Technology Transfer Network (TTN), and other USEPA on-line databases.
Services
The Consolidated Human Activity Database (CHAD) contains data obtained from pre-existing human activity studies that were collected at city, state, and national levels. CHAD is intended to be an input file for exposure/intake dose modeling and/or statistical analysis. CHAD is a master database providing access to other human activity databases using a consistent format.
Indoor BTEX vs. Ventilation Conditions. Ted Johnson designed Scripted House Studies in Research Triangle Park, NC, and Columbus, Ohio, that measured BTEX levels inside furnished houses as air exchange rates were varied according to prepared scripts. Ted Johnson developed the scripts and conducted in-depth statistical analyses of the data obtained from each study.
